How can 'IB Chinese Language B' students 'kill a few birds with one stone' by learning some Chinese idioms?

1. By using just a few idioms in your writing, you will stand-out from other candidates in the Writing Paper; you will impress the markers. That could result in you achieving Level 7, from what would otherwise have been Level 6 work.
2. It is actually easier to learn idioms which have concise meanings, than it is to memorise long sentences.

What it takes to grasp Mandarin in short time .

1. Know your learning goal,whether it is to be able to understand simple conversations and respond to them when you travel or when you work or when you introduce your service or products to others

2. Break learning goal into smaller achievable learning steps and achieve these steps through private Mandarin lessons with a qualified and experienced Mandarin tutor

3. Review the learning material before your private Mandarin lessons. Be bold to clarify doubts during lessons and practice speaking Mandarin. Do some after-lesson homework such as sending your tutor some audios in which you speak Mandarin

4. Have at least 2 lessons a week. Each lesson 1.5 hour is better . Usually students can achieve basis competency after 1 year of learning .
