// HEALTHY.ER is a proposed public health big data application gathering a range of finance and transaction, biometric and clinical data; and one that, through feeding into the existing medical database infrastructure like Hong Kong’s Electronic Health Record Sharing System (EHRSS), generates analysis reports, personalized reminders, advice and alerts. The application name, HEALTHY.ER, is inspired by the -er suffix nounification/nominalization (of the adjective “healthy”) to signify healthy people and hinting about the superlative form “healthier”. HEALTHY.ER serves as a linkage between patients, service providers and the government and facilitate better, more precise healthcare delivery. Through reducing preventable diseases and saving more lives with lower cost, we hope to enhance the public’s quality of life, and enable Hong Kong to become a healthier city in the long run.
