Mother of a recent IB top scorer shares parenting journey and tips
本校與播樂輔仁慈善基金上週六邀請應屆IB狀元之母分享教養心路歷程。媽媽坦言，曾因對女兒表達失當而決心由全天候緊盯的「虎媽」蛻變，成為鼓勵子女主動學習與自主管理的正向母親。她證明了培育優秀孩子其實可以輕鬆自在，關鍵在於建立互相尊重及信任的親子關係，成為孩子求學路上的最佳夥伴。
原定一小時的分享會在講者與參加者的熱烈互動下延長至兩小時，家長們依然熱情留守到最後，細心聆聽「狀元媽媽」的寶貴分享。這份全心投入，完美體現了父母渴望陪伴子女愉快學習的堅定決心。
Last Saturday, our school and the Cherish Children Benevolence Foundation had the honour of hosting the mother of a recent IB top scorer to share her parenting journey and tips.
During the session, our speaker openly shared that a miscommunication with her daughter transformed her from a smothering and controlling “tiger mom” into a mother who uses positive reinforcement to encourage her children to take their own initiative in learning and self-management. Our speaker proved that raising exceptional children does not have to be difficult. The key lies in building a relationship of mutual respect and trust between child and parent, becoming partners in the child’s academic journey rather than superiors and subordinates.
Driven by the enthusiastic interaction between the speaker and attendees, the sharing session was extended from one hour to two. Parents remained warmly engaged until the very end, attentively listening to the invaluable insights shared by the speaker. This wholehearted participation demonstrated the parents‘ dedication and unwavering commitment tosupporting their children’s positive learning journey.
