Our final staff dinner. Thank you so much to eveyone for attending and to Al Sur Tin Hau for a fantastic evening.

All good things must come to an end. After 40 years of teaching in Hong Kong, it is finally time to retire. I have been blessed with an unforgettable time in the city where I have spent almost all my adult life, made lifelong friends and have had the most meaningful time teaching. I never wanted to be a boring, tired old teacher, so let’s quit while I’m ahead. To my students and their parents, thank you for the support and drive you have given me over the years. I can truly say that you have made it all worthwhile. I will be dividing my time between Hong Kong and the UK over the next few years. To end, I’d like to post a few photos from some last lessons and some photos of old students who contacted us or came to visit in our last few days before announcing our closure. Goodbye Kelly! Really happy to see your improvement in English over the the years and the growth in your confidence. Enjoy your new life studying overseas. We’ll miss you!

A special thank you to Horace, the son of one of my former students and now heading to the UK. You’ve been a great student and we’ll meet again soon. I love the amazing Japanese Iron Man. With Batman and Iron Man around me, super-villains will stay well away.
