Earning a new sound: /v/ 💛

This little learner is working on the /v/ sound today.
/ v / is a stretchy sound — you can hold it longer:
vvvvv 🐝

It’s also a voiced sound, which means:
👉 your voice box vibrates when you say it.

A fun way to check?
Put your hand on your throat and say /v/ — can you feel it buzz?

Its voiceless partner is /f/.
Same mouth position, but no voice vibration.

✨ Voiced vs voiceless sounds can be tricky for young learners,
so we always help them feel the sound, not just hear it.
