Complex conflict of laws issues arise in cross-border transactions and cross-border litigation concerning intellectual property rights. She specializes in international intellectual property law and publishes extensively on issues at the intersection of conflict of laws/private international law and intellectual property law, and on cyberlaw, particularly on geoblocking.

AI hallucinations — fabricated outputs from large language models (LLMs) — are increasingly problematic in legal practice. In 𝘙 (𝘈𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦) 𝘷 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘯 𝘉𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘺 [2025], the Court condemned the submission of AI-generated "fake authorities" as professional misconduct, warning it may constitute contempt by deliberately undermining justice. In late 2025, OpenAI acknowledged hallucinations as an unavoidable feature of LLMs, not a temporary flaw.

The upcoming seminar will explore judicial responses in various jurisdictions, mitigation techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation, legal tasks most vulnerable to hallucinations, and the limited utility of current benchmarks.
