Do your children love watching cartoons and animated movies? Why not give them a chance to make their very own short animated films? Through creating their own animations, students can get better at telling stories and presenting their ideas. Major concepts students learn and experiment with here can also cultivate their creativity and help them with their other artistic ventures.

Intro to Animation teaches students the basics of 2D animation covering major concepts including keyframes, parallax, walk cycles and can help students turn their fantastic imaginations into reality. This winter, ZMS is offering a 6-day introductory course to give students the skill to turn whatever fantastical things they can imagine into reality. The course targets teenagers aged 10-12. The class will run on 19th -24th December and is a great way to enrich students’ winter vacation. We are now offering a special early bird price of $1,980 ( ~$330 per hour) for the course with a normal price of $2,480( ~$413 per hour).

Programming not only involves technical knowledge, but also requires planning, designing, testing and deployment. Learning programming helps improve children’s logical, problem-solving and presentation skills, as well as better prepare for their future. The skillsets acquired are applicable to other subjects. Game development is a good start for your child to have a glimpse of programming.

Through Intro to Game Development, students can learn basic programming concepts like loops and recursions with fun and interactive projects. Students will be encouraged to channel their creativity with the newly learned logical skills to develop unique products. Upon completion, students will be able to build games like Crossy Road, Pacman, and Tumble Blocks.

The 6-day course will be held on 19th-24th December suitable for kids aged 6 to 12. Each class lasts for an hour with a normal price of $414. We are now offering an Early Bird Price of $330 per class for newcomers!

Long term fundamental analysis for stock investing develops students’ interest in the financial world as well as sharpens their analytical and research skills

Our Stock Investing course makes use of a step-by-step bottom-up approach teaching students the basics of long-term fundamental investing. Students will get to know how company business models and external factors affect stock price. They will work in groups to pick household names of their interest across industries like Google, McDonald’s or BMW to apply their knowledge to prepare a stock recommendation as the final project.

Stock Investing (Level 1) is a 4-day course which lasts for 1.5 hour per class suitable for students aged 15-18. Other uses of cryptography like blockchain and cryptocurrencies have also been making headlines. Blockchain revolutionized transactions and has undergone massive growth recently. Blockchain technology will likely be more adopted in public and financial services and play a bigger role in the society. To better understand this visionary technology, cryptography is the key.

Cryptography is not rocket science but instead a fun way for students to apply simple mathematical concepts and common sense to solve puzzles. This year, ZMS is offering a Cryptography & Cryptocurrency 4-day winter course to teach students about different encryptions and how they can be applied to cybersecurity and blockchain. To excel in the ever-changing society, traditional education is inadequate - the skills needed have moved beyond competence in the 3Rs (Reading, wRiting, and aRithmatic) towards broader skills in the 4Cs (Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, and Critical Thinking).

Academic studies in Hong Kong tend to be homogenous as subjects like Chemistry, Biology, and Economics dominate. Students have limited opportunities to explore their real interests beyond these few areas. Hence, they are often at a loss in the process of university application, as they only have little understanding of many university majors that are available.
