中華基督宗教研究中心（簡稱“中心”）於2001年7月1日成立。在成立之前，中心成員已有多年時間積極進行基督宗教思想方面的研究，特別在基督教神學、宗教哲學和社會倫理方面，並且獲得不少亞洲基督教高等教育聯會的贊助。
