🎶Alumnus and renowned flute virtuoso Chan King-chun is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Tsun Lok Dizi Ensemble Group by launching the inaugural “Ting Zhu Cup” (聽竹盃) Hong Kong Bamboo Flute Competition. Guided by the vision of “Passing on the elegance of silk and bamboo, nurturing new talents together,” the competition will be held on 20–21 December 2025 at his alma mater, Buddhist Sin Tak College. Heartfelt congratulations to the Ensemble Group on its 20th Anniversary, and best wishes for the success of the competition.

On 24 August 2025, an alumni gathering was held to share career journeys, centered around the theme “Bridging Generations – Cultivating Knowledge Together”. In a world where AI is reshaping our future, we face both unpredictability and endless possibilities. This shift may lead us to question the value of our traditional knowledge and experiences, prompting us to rethink our approach to life.

We extended our gratitude to the six alumni speakers for their invaluable insights, as well as to all alumni, particularly the recent DSE graduates and those currently studying in post-secondary institutions and universities. During the event, the Association presented scholarships to Ms. Chan Cheuk Yiu and Ms. Wong Bo Yi Vikki in recognition of their commitment to diverse learning.

跨世代，共創知識

在2025年8月24日，校友會舉行了一次聚會，活動主題為「跨世代，共創知識」，在職校友分享職業旅程。在這個人工智能重塑我們現在和未來的世界中，我們面對著不可預測與無盡的可能性的未來。

我們感謝六位校友講者提供十分寶貴的見解，以及所有校友，特別是那些應屆DSE畢業生和目前在高等院校及大學就讀的校友。在活動中，校友會向陳卓瑤和黃寶儀頒發獎學金，以表彰她們積極發展多元學習。

陳達生老師編著《修竹園文》文集面世

4月12日，陳達生老師在香港大學圖書館總館舉辦的講座，題為「《修竹園文》：探索陳湛銓教授對香江國學的貢獻」。席間，陳老師講述了其為父親——有「國學之父」之稱的陳湛銓教授——編校文集成書的緣由、過程及所遇困難。

講座當天，校友會主席周婉雯博士到場參加, 恭賀陳老師編著的文集成功出版，不僅讓學界得以窺見陳教授對香港國學研究的卓越貢獻，更為後世留下珍貴學術遺產，誠屬功德無量，十分令人敬佩。

此外，欣逢一眾校友到場支持，包括主持人香港大學圖書館館長胡美華博士。眾人分享陳老師多年耕耘的成果，並紛紛索簽名、合影留念，場面溫馨熱鬧。

Teacher Mr. D. S. Chan's Compilation of 《修竹園文》is Published

On 12 April, a lecture titled " 《修竹園文》: Exploring Professor Chan Cham-Chuen’s contributions to National Studies in Hong Kong" was held by Teacher Mr. D. S. Chan at the Main Library of the University of Hong Kong. During the event, Teacher Chan shared the reasons, process, and challenges he faced while compiling the works by his father, Professor Chan Cham-Chuen, who is known as the "Father of National Studies."

On the day of the Lecture, Dr. Daisy Chow, BSTCAA President, attended the event and extended her congratulations to Teacher Mr. Chan for the success. It not only allows the academic community to glimpse Professor Chan's outstanding contributions to the study of national studies in Hong Kong but also leaves behind a precious academic legacy for future generations, which is truly commendable and worthy of respect.

Moreover, many alumni came to show their support, including the host, Dr. Esther Woo, the Director of Library Services of the University of Hong Kong. Everyone shared in the fruits of Teacher Chan's many years of hard work, eagerly requesting autographs and taking photos, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.

15/3文物考察團圓滿舉行 🌟✨

我們感謝校長、在職及退休的教職員、校友及家人們的參加與支持，使是次活動得以順利進行。🙏💖 考察團先後造訪了西貢龍蝦灣史前石刻、佛堂門大廟及宋代刻石、北潭涌上窰民族館以及灰窰爐遺跡。

委員張宇靈全程提供講解，讓大家對各個古蹟有更深入的了解，獲益良多。🎓🌏期間，大家一同前往西貢市中心共進午餐，品嚐地道海鮮小菜。🍤🥢 當天，師友們齊聚一堂，互相交流近況，拍照留念，氣氛熱鬧。📸😊

The Cultural Exploration Tour on March 15 was a great success. 🌟👍 We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, current and retired staff, alumni, and family members for their participation and support. 💕🙌

During the tour, we explored the prehistoric rock carvings at Lobster Bay in Sai Kung, visited the Tin Hau Temple at Fat Tong Mun along with its Song Dynasty inscriptions, and discovered the Sheung Yiu Folk Museum and the remains of the lime kiln at Pak Tam Chung. 🗿🏛️

Committee member Alexander Cheung Yu-ling provided insightful explanations along the way, allowing everyone to gain a deeper understanding of each historical site and greatly enriching the experience. 🎤🌍 After the exploration, we gathered in Sai Kung town center for lunch, savoring authentic seafood dishes. 🦐🍽️ The day was filled with joy as friends and mentors reunited, shared updates, and captured memorable moments with photos. 🤗📷

✨ BSTC Alumni Annual Lunch 2024 ✨

On 15 December 2024, the BSTC Alumni Association hosted our Annual Alumni Lunch, bringing together alumni to reconnect and strengthen our bonds that make the BSTC community so special. The event was marked by incredible participation and a shared commitment to our school.

💫In the event, our President Dr. Daisy Chow, on behalf of our association, announced the establishment of the BSTC Alumni Fund, which placed a significant milestone for our community. The fund aims to support initiatives that will create a lasting impact on the BSTC family and benefit our BSTC students.

🌟 Our heartfelt gratitude to all alumni and teachers who attended and to those who generously contributed to the Fund. Your unwavering support will ensure our spirits to pass on for future BSTC generations.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Buddhist Sin Tak College, which was founded in 1973, the Alumni Reunion Dinner will be held in December 2023.
