A few points to note:
* Context is the circumstances in which a text is written and also the circumstances in which the text is read.
* Context can play an important role in understanding fictional texts.
* Historical, social, political context can influence writers and be reflected in what they write.
* Events and experiences from the writer’s own life will also affect a text.
* A writer may also be influenced by literary context – what other writers are producing and what style of literature is popular at the time.

It is always challenging to transfer from a local school to an international environment, but he made it look extremely effortless. I’m not entirely sure if he likes to moan and screech about his incapability as a way to manage my expectations, or does he truly suffer from imposter syndrome, but no matter what, his improvement has always brightened my CV of being a tutor.

He was technically still confused about the idea of PERSONA the night before his Edexcel Lang A exam but guess I’m just that good in prepping students for exams 🤷🏻‍♀️

I applied for this tutor position as a fresh-graduate from law school back in 2019. This was my first ever full-time job and and it was only meant to be a temporary arrangement until I received an offer from the PCLL programme.

Eventually, this temporary plan became a four-year commitment. I remember every single student that I have taught, their names, their features, their strengths, their stories. I love every single moment of my job, I love the energy, I love the way you all inspire me to be a better adult for you.

I will be leaving my position as senior English tutor at iStudy at the end of July and embarking on a new journey. Make sure to come by and say bye if you’re around!

My students despise writing compositions, whether it be a narrative or descriptive piece. Despite reading numerous books, they struggle to capture the essence of a well-written story.

It's crucial to establish both internal and external conflicts in your story. Internal conflict refers to the emotional struggle a character faces, while external conflict refers to the physical obstacles they must overcome. By including both types of conflict, you can create a more compelling and dynamic story that will engage your readers.
To improve your writing, try simplifying your external problem and elaborate on it by adding an internal conflict.

Marley's ghost is a pivotal character in "A Christmas Carol." He serves as a warning to Scrooge, showing him the fate that awaits him if he continues on his current path. Marley's ghost serves as a catalyst for Scrooge's transformation, showing him the error of his ways and giving him a chance to change before it's too late.

Marley's ghost is covered in chains that symbolise the weight of his past misdeeds and sins. The chains represent the burden he carries as a result of his selfish and greedy behaviour in life. The chains also symbolise the consequences of Scrooge's actions, implying that he too will be weighed down by guilt and regret if he does not change his ways. Overall, the chains serve as a powerful symbol of the cost of selfishness and greed, and the importance of repentance and redemption.
