Recruitment of Research Staff (2 posts)
🔸Post-Doctoral Research Fellow / Research Associate / Senior Research Assistant (1 position)
Responsibilities:
The appointee will be participating in research; be responsible for statistical data analysis, plan, coordinate, and implement data collection activities; conduct data analysis; prepare presentations, manuscripts, and reports; supervise Research Assistants; and perform any other relevant tasks as assigned.
Applicants should possess/be:
✅a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or other related disciplines with three years’ post-qualification experience; OR a Master’s degree in the aforementioned disciplines with one year’s post-qualification experience; OR Ph.D. degree holder with relevant postdoctoral experience will be considered for the position of Post-Doctoral Research Fellow.
✅demonstrate strong competency in quantitative data analysis. Those with post-doctoral research experience, especially a strong background in mental health research and an excellent track record of publications are preferred.
✅Familiar with statistical analysis and using statistical software packages would be highly desirable
✅highly proficient with at least one programming language (R, Mplus or equivalent)
✅a good command of written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese
✅a strong sense of responsibility and good communication skills
A salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary. The appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding.

🔸Research Assistant (1 position)
Responsibilities:
The appointee will be participating in research projects; be responsible for project and training management, data handling and collection, database set-up; and perform any other duties as assigned.
Applicants should possess/be:
✅a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Business Management or other disciplines, preferably with at least one year's post-qualification experience.
✅Those with interest in mental health research are preferred.
✅experience in statistical analysis and using statistical software packages would be desirable
✅a good command of written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese
✅a strong sense of responsibility and good communication skills
A salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 8.5% of basic salary.
