We are excited to announce the launch of a new student business enterprise 'The Stationery Station' at HKILA. Initially we hope this will offer our students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of small business operations, including market research, merchandising, customer relations, product selection, order picking and inventory control.
Longer term, we aim to establish The Stationery Station as a vibrant and welcoming social enterprise venture that both serves the community and offers an alternative pathway to employment and living independently for young adults with SEND in Hong Kong.
We have timed the launch to coincide with the annual Box of Hope charity campaign, which aims to send festive gift boxes to children living in poverty in Hong Kong and Asia. If you are participating this year, please could you consider purchasing a ready made Box of Hope from The Stationery Station. By doing so, not only will you be helping to put smiles on the faces of children who may not have received a gift before, but also developing the practical workplace skills of our students, and possibly even the opening of Discovery Bay's first social enterprise venture for young adults with SEND.
