[Event Spotlight] SCMP Learn: Digital Discovery Lab - Empowering Families to Navigate AI Safety and Online Literacy 🌟
How is your family handling the rapid evolution of AI and online literacy? 🤖
Let’s face it, raising children in today’s digital age is entirely uncharted territory. As AI and smart technologies become deeply embedded in their daily lives, understanding how to guide them safely and responsibly is more important than ever.
If you’ve been wondering how to help your child manage this new reality, we’ve got you covered. Join us for SCMP Learn: Digital Discovery Lab — an immersive, interactive experience designed to equip you and your child for the AI landscape.
Event Details
📅: Sunday, June 28, 2026
⏰: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
📍: Preface HQ, Causeway Bay
🗣️: The workshop will be conducted in Cantonese
💰: Free of charge (Each family must include at least one parent and one child aged 8-14)
One Afternoon, Two Tailored Experiences
Designed as a dual experience, the workshop will feature separate side-by-side sessions for both you and your child:
🧩 For Parents: Gain expert insights on the psychology behind short-video addiction and screen time, and learn more about the online risks children face today, including AI misuse, fake news and illegal betting.
🚀 For Children: While you dive into discussions, your child will step into a curated hands-on design thinking workshop where they’ll unpack complex topics like AI ethics and deepfakes. Working in teams, they will learn to voice their own opinions and prepare to present their insights back to you at the end of the afternoon.
🎁 As a token of our appreciation, each participant will receive a HK$200 bookstore coupon upon completing the full afternoon session together.
Spaces are strictly limited to ensure an impactful, high-quality experience for all families.
