Every child has a unique perspective worth sharing — and StoryJam 2026 is their stage to share it with the world!

Open to students from Primary 1 through Secondary 6 across Hong Kong and Asia, this global youth competition invites young people to unleash their creativity and explore big ideas, all while building real-world confidence and communication skills.

How Can My Child Get Involved?
With three distinct challenges to choose from, your child can pick the format that best suits their strengths and interests:

🎤 Storytelling Contest – Choose a topic under our master theme, then bring that perspective to life with a written submission and a 3-minute video pitch.
🖊️ Writing Challenge – Respond to a fixed essay prompt and express big ideas through the written word📹 Primary School Challenge – Tailored for younger creators — pick a theme topic and share a perspective in a short 3-minute video pitch.

Open to students from Primary 1 to Secondary 6 in Hong Kong and Asia.

What an extraordinary weekend of inspiration, connection and game-changing insights! 💫

Co-organised by SCMP Learn and HSBC Premier, the inaugural Global Education Summit came to a phenomenal close after welcoming over 10,000 visitors to explore the future of learning and talent development. 🎓🧩

Following Day One’s focus on Hong Kong as an international education hub, Day Two expanded our horizon toward global education pathways across the UK, US and beyond — demystifying elite university admissions, exploring holistic well-being for students relocating abroad and offering actionable blueprints for converting academic success into long-term global career agility. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

On our Stages and across the Exhibition Hall, we hosted an incredible lineup of world-class institutions and exhibitors. Among our featured speakers were senior representatives from Cambridge, King’s College London, Oxford, NYU, Cardiff Sixth Form College, The Webb Schools and Woldingham School, as well as admissions experts from Britannia StudyLink, Crimson Education, JM Edu Consulting and True North Education. Bridging classroom learning with long-term employability, industry leaders from HKT, HSBC, Jobsdb by SEEK and Our Hong Kong Foundation also took the stage to share key hiring and career trends.

As the city continues to solidify its reputation for academic excellence, this landmark gathering firmly reinforced Hong Kong’s role as a true global superconnector in world education. 🇭🇰🌏

That’s a wrap on an incredible Day One at the inaugural Global Education Summit! 🙌

Co-organised by SCMP Learn and HSBC Premier, we welcomed over 5,000 attendees to explore the future of learning alongside a powerhouse lineup of visionary educators, distinguished policymakers and global industry leaders.

Across our Main Stage panels, Side Stage AMAs and bustling Exhibition Hall, the opening day delivered a complete 360-degree blueprint for our next generation’s path forward.

Spotlighting Hong Kong as a premier international hub, discussions explored life and learning at the city’s top universities, the evolution of the 2030 IB curriculum and strategies for navigating local and international school pathways. At the same time, we aligned education with industry, mapping out critical talent pipelines in tech, healthcare and AI to empower young minds with the skills needed for long-term success.
