Certified Sleep Sense ™️ A gentle approach to helping you and your baby get the sleep you deserve x
There are a few sleep truths most parents only discover after many exhausting nights.
The first is that daytime sleep plays a huge role in night sleep.
Many families assume naps are separate from nights, but baby sleep works as a rhythm across the entire day.
The second truth is about overtiredness.
When babies stay awake for too long, their bodies release stress hormones that can make sleep lighter and more fragmented.
Which often leads to:
• bedtime resistance
• night wakings
• early morning starts
And the third truth is something many parents find reassuring:
Sleep improvements usually come from consistent routines and timing, not from finding the “perfect” sleep method.
When sleep is aligned with your baby’s natural rhythm, everything tends to feel calmer.
If sleep currently feels confusing or unpredictable, you’re not alone.

Many parents quietly worry about this.
When sleep is fragmented night after night, it’s easy to start believing something is wrong with your baby. But frequent night waking is rarely about babies being “bad sleepers”.
Most of the time, it’s connected to how babies fall asleep at the start of the night.
Babies move through sleep cycles every 45–90 minutes. When they wake briefly between cycles, they naturally look for the same conditions that helped them fall asleep in the first place.
If a baby falls asleep with help every time (feeding, being held), they often need that same help again during the night.
This is why supporting independent sleep skills can dramatically improve night sleep.
Not through rigid training, but through gentle, developmentally appropriate changes that help babies learn how to resettle.
Send me a DM, I’m always happy to help families understand what might be happening with their baby’s sleep.

Many parents assume the solution to better nights is less daytime sleep. But baby sleep doesn’t work that way.
When babies miss the naps their bodies need, they often become overtired. And overtiredness is one of the most common reasons for:
• frequent night wakings
• early mornings
• restless sleep
• difficult bedtimes
This is why improving naps often improves nights, sometimes without changing bedtime at all.
Sleep works as a 24-hour rhythm, not separate daytime and nighttime events.
If your baby is stuck in the short nap cycle and you’re unsure what to adjust, feel free to send me a DM. I’m always happy to help point families in the right direction. Because when sleep improves, everything feels easier.

Early waking is one of the most common sleep challenges families face and one of the most frustrating.
Many parents assume the problem must be bedtime:
“Maybe they went to bed too early.”
“Maybe bedtime needs to be later.”
But in most cases, early waking is actually connected to sleep balance across the whole day.
When sleep is aligned properly, mornings often improve naturally.
If you’re currently navigating early wake-ups and not sure what to adjust, feel free to send me a DM. I’m always happy to point you in the right direction.
Because calm mornings really are possible. ☀️

Parenthood is beautiful.
But it can also be incredibly exhausting.
I speak to parents every week who feel completely drained from broken nights, early mornings, and the constant guessing about what their baby needs.
Most of them are doing everything they can.
Feeding, adjusting routines, trying every tip they find online…
And still wondering why sleep isn’t improving.
The truth is, baby sleep isn’t about luck.
It’s about understanding how sleep works and building the right foundations for your little one.
I’ve been in your shoes myself.
My own journey into sleep consulting started with my own sleepless nights as a mum of two.
That experience is what drives the work I do today, supporting families in a gentle, supportive way so everyone in the home can finally rest.
If you’re navigating difficult nights right now, you’re not alone.
And things can get better.
Tell me in the comments, what is the biggest sleep challenge in your home right now?
Or send me a DM. I always love hearing from you 🩵

💭 “What if this doesn’t work?”
💭 “I’ve already tried everything!”
💭 “What if it’s just another thing that doesn’t help?”
And then… they see the results.

Skiing, Sleep & Frozen Fingers 🏔️😅
If you’re wondering why there aren’t more pictures of this trip… it’s because my hands have been too frozen to take them. 🥶😂 But trust me, we’ve been having the best time skiing in Japan! ⛷️❄️
There’s something so special about getting away, disconnecting from the everyday routine, and just watching the kids embrace the adventure (and fall… a lot. But we’re calling it character-building). 😆
👉 Now, let’s talk about the one thing that can make or break your holiday with kids: SLEEP.
Travel, time zones, and excitement can completely throw off their sleep. But if there’s one tip I swear by, it’s this:
🌙 Keep bedtime consistent. Even if everything else feels chaotic, having a familiar bedtime routine (PJs, books, white noise, cuddles) helps signal to their body that it’s time to wind down—no matter where you are.
Because an overtired child on holiday = a guaranteed meltdown before the fun even begins. 😬
Tell me, do your kids sleep better or worse on holiday? ⬇️✈️
