would/should/could have….. 本來......

好多時候 見到啲學英文同學或朋友對 would/should/have…..呢類 tenses幾困擾. 好似明白，但係又唔知點用.
相信因為中文冇呢個 grammar, 所以好難了解呢類 tenses. 但我個人認為呢類 tenses, 其實幾乎相等於我哋廣東話嘅”本來”嘅用法. 我用以下英文例子同翻譯來對比下, 睇吓大家同唔同意我嘅睇法. 如果閣下有咩意見. 可以交流一下, thank you 🙏

She would have helped us, but she was busy
佢本來會幫我哋，但係佢好忙.

He would have passed IELTS test if he had spend a couple of hours on English study daily.
如果佢每日用一兩個鐘頭學英文，佢本來會考到 IELTS.

He shouldn’t have said that (but he had said so)
佢本來唔應該咁講 (但係佢已經講咗)

We should have booked the airtickets earlier - now they’re sold.
我哋本來應該早啲訂機票，但而家啲機票已經賣晒.

I could have gone to the party, but I was too tired.
我本來可以去嗰個派對，但係我好攰.

I could have applied for PR two years ago If I had not procrastinated taking IELTS test.

"鐘下鐘下"vs "牛下牛下" 英文點講?

有無試過諗 "鐘下鐘下"(昏昏欲睡)😴 同"嘔下嘔下"(頭昏腦脹」)🤕 喺廣東話入面有咩分別同英文點講？嚟！等我哋拆解一下！

"鐘下鐘下" (昏昏欲睡) drowsy 係嗰種眼瞓、眼皮重重的感覺—好似喺悶到爆的會議入面掙扎唔想瞓着，或者食完大餐後好想打盹。仲算係勉強仲有啲功能㗎！😅

"牛下牛下"(頭昏腦脹) groggy 就似係唔夠瞓醒來，覺得頭暈腦脹，方向感全無，甚至有啲迷迷糊糊—好似你嘅腦袋陷入一團霧入面。係嗰種「我完全諗唔清楚」嘅掙扎。🥴

呢個講法嚟自「chicken」，喺英文入面，「chicken」係俚語，意思係驚或者冇膽。

跳灰士英文點講？ 跳灰士英文為 "The fuse blew”. 例子: "The fuse blew because we overloaded the circuit."

但係要注意! 就屋企嘅呢種設備唔係叫做 fuse👎，而係叫做 breaker👍. fuse 係一次性用, 而breaker 係一種可重用的保護裝置，當檢測到過電流或短路時，breaker 會自動跳掣（關閉電源）以中斷電流的流動。

所以嚴格嚟講, 跳灰士英文叫做 The breaker tripped.

'Give me a break' 呢句說話喺唔同情境之下有唔同嘅意思，其中之一，正如 Merriam-Webster 字典解釋嘅係：用嚟表達你唔相信, 或者對某人講嘅嘢, 或者做嘅嘢感到反感。例如： 'He says he went to Harvard. "Give me a break! I doubt he even graduated from high school."'（佢話佢讀過哈佛大學。'唔係嘛！我甚至懷疑佢有冇高中畢業過！'）
