🌟 Celebrating Success of the HKU Industry Forum🌟

The HKU Industry Forum on New Energy & New Materials was a resounding success! We hosted over 100 thought leaders and participants from local and mainland China, showcasing HKU's research strengths in addressing industry needs. Leading industry, government, and HKU academia shared insights on successful commercialisation of new materials, battery technology advancements, and new energy vehicle applications.

A heartfelt thank you to guest speakers, HKU research teams, and participants for their invaluable support. Without them, this event wouldn't have been possible. The collaboration between academia, industry, and government displayed at the Forum highlights the power of innovation.

[Webinar] MIT Insights: Industry- : a Two-Tiered Model

Collaboration between the University and the community is crucial in fostering societal, economic, and industrial development and informing the research process through a better understanding of the industry’s needs. This seminar discusses a two-tiered model for such collaborations and the need for explicit to preserve fundamental academic principles while serving the needs of small and large companies. The two tiers of “Fundamental Research” and “In-University Consulting” involve different levels of students, different patent policies and clear, simple rules governing each—and consistently enforced. Procedures and contrasts in UK and US universities are discussed.
