RIH Reading Group Final Meeting | The Multifaceted Identity and Lives of Migrants in Hong Kong

This gathering brings together shared reflection, critical reading, and conversation around migrant labour, gendered and reproductive labour, social justice, and artistic practice.

The inaugural session of the CUHK–ZJU Distinguished Humanities Dialogues was successfully held on 27 April 2026 at the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), CUHK.

Prof. Peng Guoxiang opened the event with an insightful exploration of the Confucian notion of “Being One Body with All Things”, followed by a stimulating dialogue with Prof. Cheng Chungyi. The discussion then extended to the audience, drawing enthusiastic participation from scholars and students interested in Confucianism, Daoism, and religious philosophy.

Many thanks to all our speakers and participants for making the event such an engaging exchange.
