很快我們將開展團隊教練培訓,這將是我自疫情以來首次舉辦此類課程。由於我們一直推廣這項培訓,遇到很多人詢問:「在這項培訓中,我將學到什麼?」「我能從中帶走什麼?」

嗯,很多東西。首先,你將學習團體如何在資訊層面和體驗層面運作。我們的焦點將從團體內個體的動態開始,然後轉向構成團體本身的動態。這讓任何團體都充滿動態能量,而團隊教練必須管理這種能量。

作為參與者,你將在四天內體驗15次不同的團隊互動。這相當多!你將一次又一次親身體驗各種團隊動態。你將學習如何達成團隊目標、設計成果、解決團隊問題、規劃團隊活動、處理團隊衝突等等。

雖然團隊教練已是教練領域的主要範疇,而且我所見的一切都顯示它在未來幾年將變得越來越重要,但大多數團隊並沒有運作得很好。有些團隊甚至運作得非常糟糕!這就是為什麼對它的需求日益增加。有很多原因。其中最明顯的是,大多數組織內的團隊並沒有以有效且人性化的方式運作。因此,組織浪費了團體本可提供的巨大潛力。組織內仍有太多粗獷的個人主義、團隊合作技能不足,以及團體領導不力。董事會就是這樣。高層管理團隊也是如此。它們需要幫助。你將學到什麼?團隊如何不夠有效、原因何在,以及如何讓它們變得有效。

最重要的是,你將學習到教練團體和/或團隊所需的技能。在為此級別設計反饋表格時,我保留了 Meta-Coaches 已熟悉的基本格式。其中現在加入了一些新的子技能。團體教練的一個不同之處是,我們從框架開始。然後有團體支持、團體傾聽、團體提問、團體反饋,以及團體狀態誘導。我們重點關注的三項額外技能是:團體運作、團體領導/治理;以及團體結束。

管理良好的團體可以成為團隊,這是另一項學習內容,即這如何運作以及所需條件。你將學習信任螺旋,以及如何在你與團體之間、團體成員之間建立信任。有很多東西要學、很多體驗練習來發展技能,然後有兩天時間觀看某人上台帶領一個團體和一個團體問題,並教練該團體達到解決。那場現場示範是培訓的高峰,因為那是理論與實踐結合的時刻。上台的那個人——那個人能否教練該團體? 我只能說,來親眼看看吧!

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN
GROUP AND TEAM COACHING?

Soon we will be doing Group & Team Coaching, it will be the first time since the pandemic for me. As we have been promoting the training, people are asking, “What will I learn in this training?” “What will I be able to take away from the training?”

Well, a lot of things. First and foremost, you will learn how groups work both informationally and experientially. Our focus will start with the dynamics inside of the individuals of the group and then the dynamics which make up the group itself. This makes any and every group full of dynamic energy, an energy the group coach has to manage.

As a participant, you will experience being in different group 15 times over the four days. That is a lot! Over and over you will experience all sorts of group dynamics first hand and experientially. You will experience how to achieve group objectives, how to design outcomes, solve group problems, plan group activities, deal with conflict in a group, and much more.

Now while Group and Team Coaching is already a major area in the field of Coaching, and while everything that I see indicates that it is going to become a bigger and bigger area in the coming years, most groups do not work all that well. And some groups do not work very well at all! That’s why there has begun to be a big demand for it. There’s lots of reasons for that. Perhaps the most obvious is that most groups in organizations are not run effectively and in a humanistic way. Consequently organizations waste so much of the potential that groups could provide. There’s still far too much rugged individualism, too little skill in being a good team player, and too much ineffective leadership in the groups. Boards are like that. Senior management teams are like that. And they need help. What will you learn? How groups are not effective, what causes that, and what to do to make them effective.

You will also make an amazing discovery in distinguishing how Group and Team Coaching is so different from individual coaching. The presence of group dynamics introduces many new factors that a coach doesn’t have to deal with in individual coaching. As a coach, you will often be coaching the group itself how to coach itself, how to learn how its functioning, and how to step up to more effectiveness.

In Group & Team Coaching You will learning that there are additional “Conversations” in a group to the first seven conversations that we identify in individual coaching. There is the Rounds conversation, the Meta conversation, Collective Learning, Problem-Solving, Mediation, Productive Conflict, etc. The details of these conversations are in the book on Group and Team Coaching and the conversations that we practice in the training.

You will also learn that about the need to distinguish different kinds of groups. That is, all grops are not the same. There are intact versus ad hoc groups, groups with leaders versus groups in which the coach will lead, work groups versus learning or study groups, etc.

And most importantly, you will learn about the skills which are required for coaching a group and/or a team. In setting up the feedback form for this level, I kept the basic format that Meta-Coaches are already familiar with. And to them, there are now some new sub-skills inside of them. One difference in group coaching is that we start with Framing. There is then Group Support, Group Listening, Group Questioning, Group Feedback, and Group State Induction. Three additional skills that we focus are: Group Functioning, Group Leadership / Governance; and Group Closure.

Groups that are managed well can become teams and that’s yet another learning, how that works and what’s required. You will learn about the Trust Spiral and how to build trust between yourself and the group, and between the members of the group. There’s a lot to learn, a lot of experiential practices to develop the skills, and then two days to see someone one stage take a group and a group problem and coach that group to a resolution. That live demonstration is the peak of the training because that is where the rubber hits the road. Can the person who steps up to do that—can that person coach that group? All I can say is, Come and see!

🌟 Learning from Meta Coaching Foundation 🌟

Great to be back at the Meta Coaching Foundation — loved Mandy’s live demo & debrief, and so happy to reconnect with fellow Meta Coaches & Neuro-Semantics trainers!

Key insights I’m taking away:
🔹 “Clarity creates direction” – once clients set a clear outcome, energy and focus shift.
🔹 “Awareness creates choice” – naming beliefs or patterns opens up new options.
🔹 “Change is embodied” – real progress shows up not just in words, but in tone, emotions, and body.
🔹 “Curiosity is a catalyst” – powerful questions open perspectives more than advice ever could.

This reminded me that coaching is not about fixing, but about partnering with clients to think bigger, reframe, and step into their best selves.

MCF HK於1月18日舉行了2025年首場聚會,主題為「Meta Place」。由NS Trainer 及Meta Coach Cherrie與一眾會員分享在剛過去的12月於峇里參加首個Meta Place課程的得著和應用,並即場示範行走11個Meta Place 心智模型的地標,使參加者的2025年目標更清晰明確。及後由NS Trainer 及Meta Coach Boey 示範利用 WFO18 完善效果問題為目標作周詳計劃。

很高興能夠再次與一眾NS Trainers 及 Meta Coaches 聚首一堂,分享最新的NS 技術及 Meta Coching的應用與實踐。感恩看到大師兄大師姐們仍抱持着一顆熱切的心,孜孜不倦去追求NS的知識,並身體力行支持MCF在香港的推廣工作!期待大家有更多交流的機會,讓NS及Meta Coaching的好處惠及更多香港人!

The first MCF Chapter meeting has been hold on 18 January, featuring “Meta Place”. NS Trainer and Meta Coach Cherrie shared what she freshly learnt from Bali at the first ever Meta Place training conducted by Dr. Michael Hall, and demonstrated the pattern walk through 11 Meta Place landmarks for empowering participants’ 2025 goal. NS Trainer and Meta Coach Boey follow up implementation with Well Formed Outcome questions.

We’re delighted that so many NS Trainers and Meta Coaches get together, to share latest NS technology, and the application of Meta Coaching.
