Information of the General Election of the 50th Students’ Association
I. Results of the Application
By the end of the application period of the General Election of the 50th Students’ Association (23:59 on 16th July 2015 (Thursday)), the Election Committee have received and accepted ONE application only. Details of the proposed Cabinet are as follow:

II. Election Forum
Pursuant to Section III, Article 3 of the Election By-laws of the Students' Association, Wah Yan College, Kowloon (last amended at the 6th Extra-Ordinary Council Meeting):
1. The election forum shall be organized by the Election Committee with the approval of the Council.
2. The election forum shall be participated by students from all classes.
3. The date and time of the election forum shall be determined and declared before the last day of school.
4. No speech of personal attack, defamation and false information shall be tolerated in the forum.
The Election Forum for the General Election of the 50th Students’ Association will be held on 14th September 2015 (Monday). Students from ALL classes (i.e. all Form 1 to Form 6 students) shall participate in the Forum. Further details and arrangements of the Forum will be announced after the resume of school days.
III. General Election
Pursuant to Section V, Article 3 of the Constitution of the Students' Association, Wah Yan College, Kowloon (last amended at the 6th Extra-Ordinary Council Meeting):
4. The General Election shall be held by the end of September. The Election Committee shall announce the date of the General Election on or before the last school day.
5.2. Members of the Association shall vote for or against the proposed Cabinet in case there is only one proposed Cabinet.
5.3. The proposed Cabinet shall be declared elected as the Cabinet of the Association if –
5.3.1. The total number of valid votes for is greater than the total number of valid votes against the proposed Cabinet when there is only one proposed Cabinet.
5.3.3. The total number of valid vote is not less than 50% of the total number of members of the Association.
The General Election for the 50th Students’ Association will be held on 16th September 2015 (Wednesday). Members of the Association (i.e. all Form 1 to Form 6 students) shall vote for or against the proposed Cabinet. Although there is only one proposed Cabinet, the proposed Cabinet will ONLY be declared elected as the Cabinet of the Association under 5.3.1 and 5.3.3 as sited above. NO proposed Cabinet would be uncontested. Also, any other forms of surveys or questionnaires would NOT affect the results of the General Election. Further details and arrangements of the General Election will be announced after the resume of school days.
IV. Promotion Period
Pursuant to Section III, Article 1 of the Election By-laws of the Students' Association, Wah Yan College, Kowloon (last amended at the 6th Extra-Ordinary Council Meeting):
1. The proposed Cabinet(s) shall start the promotion only at the designated Promotion Period, starting from a date specified by the election committee and ending at the day before the General Election.
2. The proposed Cabinet(s) shall not include any personal attack, false statement or defamation in their promotion materials.
3. Any poster shall be submitted to the Election Committee for approval before distribution. The distribution of the materials shall be in compliance to the regulations of the School Authorities.
Hence, the Election Committee hereby announce that Volare will be the ONLY proposed Cabinet participating in the General Election of the 50th Students’ Association, and the Promotion Period begins immediately until 00:00 on 15th September 2015 (Tuesday).
