✨ Students from IVE’s Tourism and Event Management programme recently participated in the Kai Tak Sports Park Precinct Guided Tour🏟️, and coincidentally saw the main stadium being set up for the SEVENTEEN 🎤 concert 🎶.

It was such a rare and amazing chance to see the preparation work for a large-scale concert up close! 😍👏

開幕典禮當日，零售及電子商貿管理高級文憑嘅同學仔親身分享咗透過中心營運流程學到嘅知識，仲即場示範咗網上直播帶貨，令嘉賓大開眼界。同學仔亦主動帶領嘉賓參觀，詳細講解中心內各項設施同區域。👏

The Tmall Campus Training Centre has officially opened at IVE (Haking Wong)! 🎉At the opening ceremony, students from the Higher Diploma in Retail and E-Commerce Management shared their hands-on learning experiences, showcased livestream selling in action, and guided guests through the Centre’s facilities—bringing real-world e commerce operations to life. 👏

Looking ahead, the Centre will continue to provide authentic, practical learning opportunities, empowering business students to learn by doing and excel in the digital commerce era. 💡

4月25日，IVE（黃克競）板球邀請賽熱血上演！8支來自不同學校的隊伍、逾100位學生齊聚賽場，在吶喊與速度中展現青春拼搏精神。

🔥 IVE（黃克競）首戰失利後場場淘汰賽，但同學們沒有退縮，在關鍵一戰憑最後一球反勝，氣勢高漲連過難關，成功闖入決賽。

🏆 決賽上半場落後，下半場全面反擊，最終逆轉奪冠！
最感動的是賽後不分院校、不分勝負，一同慶祝，體育精神勝過一切。

On 25 April, 8 teams and over 100 students came together for an action-packed day of cricket at IVE (Haking Wong).

🔥 After losing their opening match, the IVE (Haking Wong) team faced knockout rounds throughout. With determination and belief, they survived a last-ball thriller, built momentum and advanced to the final.

🏆 Trailing in the first half, the team fought back strongly in the second half to claim the championship.

The highlight came after the final whistle — students from all schools celebrated together, showing true sportsmanship beyond competition.

IVE（黃克競）工程系學生早前赴深圳參與交流學習活動，走出課室，深入了解內地工程與創新科技的最新發展。

同學們到訪 深圳職業技術大學機電工程學院，認識與深職大之共同培養課程，並就教學模式、實務訓練及升學發展作深入交流。

交流團亦參觀了多間重點企業，包括中國南方電網及比亞迪，近距離接觸先進設備與實際應用場景，加深對電力工程及新能源技術的認識。

是次交流不但拓寬學生視野，更讓他們累積寶貴的實務經驗，為未來升學與職涯發展奠下堅實基礎。💡⚡

🔧 IVE (Haking Wong) Engineering Student Study Tour to Shenzhen Successfully Concluded! ✨

Engineering students from IVE (Haking Wong) recently took part in a study tour to Shenzhen, gaining valuable exposure beyond the classroom and exploring the latest developments in engineering and innovation in China.

The group visited the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Shenzhen Polytechnic University, where students learned more about the programmes and exchanged insights on teaching approaches, practical training and future pathways.

The tour also included visits to leading enterprises such as China Southern Power Grid and BYD, allowing students to observe advanced facilities and real world applications, while deepening their understanding of power engineering and new energy technologies.

This immersive experience broadened students’ horizons, strengthened their practical knowledge and laid a solid foundation for future academic and career development. ⚙️🔋

早前在香港科學園舉行的創科@大埔 2026，IVE（黃克競）工程系團隊於現場協助舉辦了太陽能車工作坊，並展示由 VTC 自主研製的太陽能電動車 Sophie 8x🚘☀️，吸引不少市民及學生駐足了解。

活動期間，工程系講師向到訪人士深入介紹工程學科、多元升學及職業發展出路，同時分享新能源科技、可持續發展及實際工程應用嘅最新資訊，讓學生親身感受工程如何與日常生活及未來社會發展緊密相連。

現場展出的太陽能電動車 Sophie 8x，正是由香港專業教育學院（IVE）工程學科團隊自主研發，體現「由課堂走向實戰」的教學理念，同學將課堂所學的新能量及工程知識轉化為真實成果，展現出卓越的團隊合作與創新能力 💡🤝。Sophie 8x於澳洲舉行的2025年「世界太陽能車挑戰賽」中，成功穿越澳洲3,000公里的沙漠及荒野，在難度和挑戰性極高的「Cruiser Class」（房車賽）賽事中勇奪冠軍，力壓來自美國明尼蘇達大學、澳洲新南威爾斯大學及意大利博洛尼亞大學等多間院校的車隊，為香港贏得殊榮，揚威國際。

IVE（黃克競）工程系一直致力培育具實戰能力、緊貼行業需要的工程人才，透過走出校園、走入社區，持續推廣 STEAM 發展，啟發年輕一代探索工程與創科的無限可能 🌍✨

The Engineering Discipline of IVE (Haking Wong) recently participated in a major community innovation event held at Hong Kong Science Park. Our lecturers hosted an engaging solar car workshop and showcased Sophie 8x, a solar-powered electric vehicle developed by VTC 🚘☀️, attracting strong interest from students and the public.

Throughout the event, we shared engineering knowledge, study pathways and career prospects, while introducing concepts of renewable energy, sustainability and real-world engineering applications, allowing visitors to see how engineering shapes the future.

Sophie 8x, proudly developed with the involvement of IVE engineering staff and students, perfectly reflects our practice-oriented learning approach. Students successfully applied renewable energy theories and engineering principles learned in class, demonstrating strong teamwork and innovation 💡🤝.

3月14日（六）我們和 100 位長者朋友，一起完成了一場充滿笑聲的活動 ❤️

内容包括：
- 健康市集 🎯
- 長者和學生表演 🎶
- 新春盆菜宴 🍲

從活動策劃、攤位設計到表演安排，全部都由 IVE（黃克競）學生發展處和富領袖網絡（WLN）幹事們一手籌備。能夠用行動關心社區、陪伴長者，正正就是青年參與社會最有意義的學習。
感謝所有合作機構及長者朋友的支持，讓我們一起實踐 「長幼樂動，共創豐盛」。

“It wasn’t just a P**n Choi meal — it was a moment that connected generations.” ❤️

On 14 March, we had the joy of spending a meaningful day with over 100 elderly participants ❤️ Every moment was filled with laughter, connection, and warmth.

From a vibrant Health Market 🎯,
to heartwarming student & elderly performances 🎶,
to a festive Chinese New Year P**n Choi gathering 🍲

What made it even more special — everything from programme planning, booth design to performances was led by students from the the Wofoo Leaders’ Network (WLN) of Student Development Office, IVE (Haking Wong). Being able to connect with the community and walk alongside our elderly friends is truly one of the most meaningful forms of youth engagement.

A big thank you to all our community partners and elderly participants for making this possible 🤝 Together, we lived out the spirit of: “Inter-generational Connection, Co-creating a Fulfilling Community.”

🍽️ IVE(黃克競) 師生烹飪比賽2026 🔥精彩回顧👨‍🍳

一連兩日嘅 IVE(黃克競) 師生烹飪比賽2026 已經順利舉行～14隊師生拍檔齊齊入廚，在限時一小時內由煎到焗、由煮到擺盤，全情投入🔥

初賽以「香煎海鮮配番茄燉飯」打開戰幔，6隊成功突圍晉身決賽，再挑戰「香烤羊架佐馬鈴薯與田園時蔬」，現場香氣四溢、競爭激烈，但笑聲同樣不斷😆

師生並肩作戰、互相交流，喺廚房入面拉近距離、加深感情，令比賽不只係比廚藝，更係一段難忘嘅校園回憶。💛

🏆 恭喜就讀電子商務高級文憑嘅陳書榕同學，聯同商業系陳宇翔高級講師，默契十足，憑出色表現勇奪冠軍！

亦衷心感謝多位中學校長及嘉賓評判，百忙之中抽空出席決賽並提供專業意見；亦多謝每一位師生參與，令今次比賽可以完滿收官👏✨

🍽️ Highlights from the IVE (Haking Wong) Teacher-Student Cooking Competition 2026! 🔥 👨‍🍳

The IVE (Haking Wong) Teacher-Student Cooking Competition 2026 was successfully held over two exciting days! A total of 14 teacher-student teams stepped into the kitchen, racing against time to cook, plate and impress within one hour ⏱️🔥

The preliminary round featured Pan-fried Seafood with Tomato Risotto, with 6 teams advancing to the final to take on the challenge of Roasted Rack of Lamb with Potatoes and Garden Vegetables—a true test of skill, creativity and teamwork.

The competition created meaningful opportunities for teachers and students to collaborate, connect and learn from one another, making the competition as heartwarming as it was exciting.

🏆 Congratulations to Ms Chan Shu Yung, student of Higher Diploma in E-commerce, and Mr Chan Yu Cheung, Senior Lecturer from the Business Discipline, for winning the championship with their outstanding performance and teamwork!
