Our Agriculture Department is buzzing with activity as we welcome a new batch of broiler chickens! π£ This hands-on initiative ensures that our students are fully engaged in practical learning, giving them the opportunity to develop essential skills in poultry management, care, and production.
Through this experience, students are not only learning about agriculture in theory but are actively participating in real-world practices that prepare them for future opportunities in the agricultural sector. πΎβ¨
We are proud to continue fostering responsibility, teamwork, and a love for agriculture among our students.

Sir Ameer Rahaman recently led an engaging and informative training session with our Grade 11 students in preparation for their Physical Education moderation. A respected Guyana National Youth coach, Sir Ameer focused on strengthening studentsβ fundamental skills in batting, bowling, and fielding.
In addition to the practical components, students were also guided on how to confidently approach the oral questioning aspect of the assessment. This session has equipped them with both the skills and knowledge needed to perform at their best.

ππ Culture Day 2026 at Vrymanβs Erven Secondary School ππ
On Thursday, February 26, the Social Studies Department of Vrymanβs Erven Secondary School proudly hosted a vibrant and educational Culture Day Activity, celebrating the rich cultural diversity of our beautiful country, Guyana π¬πΎ
Our students did an outstanding job showcasing the food, clothing, craft, musical instruments, dance, and overall cultural contributions of the six main ethnic groups that make up our nationβs identity.
β¨ Grade 7 β East Indians highlighted traditional attire, flavorful cuisine, and the rhythms and customs that continue to influence our society.
β¨ Grade 8 β Chinese beautifully displayed elements of Chinese heritage, cuisine, and artistic traditions.
β¨ Grade 9 β Amerindians proudly presented indigenous crafts, traditions, and the deep-rooted cultural legacy of our first peoples.
β¨ Grade 10 β European/Portuguese shared the historical and cultural contributions reflected in food, religion, and music.
β¨ Grade 11 β Africans powerfully represented African heritage through dress, dance, drumming, and enduring cultural impact.
The atmosphere was filled with colour, creativity, music, and pride as students brought history to life in meaningful and engaging ways. This activity not only strengthened cultural awareness but also reminded us of the importance of unity in diversity.
Kudos to our dedicated Social Studies Department, supportive staff, and hardworking students who made this event a tremendous success! ππΎ
