Job Location:
Port Mourant - Berbice (Region 6)
This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your skills, offering a wide range of interesting and challenging responsibilities.
You will team up with other Engineers and Designers from various disciplines. Your core responsibilities will be inspecting construction works to ensure it meets standards and health and safety requirements.
Applicant MUST be resident of Port Mourant (Berbice) or live in close proximity of project site.
Relevant Education and Experience related to this position will be preferred.
Responsibilities
1. Inspecting construction work and reference to drawings and specifications – Communicate deviations to Resident Engineer
2. Taking measurements and visual inspection of ongoing works on a daily basis – Record all measurements in an organized manner.
3. Assist Resident Engineer in quantifying ongoing and completed works and keep accurate records
4. Identifying defects / substandard works and communicate same to Resident Engineer
5. Monitoring progress and reporting to Resident Engineer.
6. Taking photographs of works daily and submit to Resident Engineer Weekly in separate folders
7. Adhere to all building regulations, health and safety requirements
8. Assist Resident Engineer to supervise/ monitor construction works
9. Be accountable and comply with all instructions and requests by the Team leader, Assistant Team Leader, Engineer and Resident Engineer.
10. Undertake all roles ascribed to in a diligent and comprehensive manner.
11. Assist in monitor and oversee the Pouring of Concrete and other integral aspects of works inclusive of setting out.
12. Participate in monthly progress meetings with the contractor, client, etc.
13. Any other duties as assigned.
