Being able to represent UGIAA at the opening of the "Gender Policy" that the University of Guyana will be implementing was an experience.
Equal rights for men and women exist. When everyone has equal rights, duties, and opportunities, regardless of their assigned gender or gender identity, gender equality has been achieved.
This event also gave me the chance to connect with the European Union ambassador , Mr Rene Van Nes alongside Ms. Yesim Oruça who is the of the UN Resident Co-ordinator in Guyana as well as clubs and members of their executive board, namely UGAS, UGFEM, UGCS, and UGBIO club.
Gender policy is concerned to who it may apply and it is applied to everyone~ Dr. Melissa Ifil.

Thrilled to represent the University of Guyana International Affairs Association at the CAPA launch. Caribbean Agriculture Productivity Improvement Activity (CAPA), а pivotal initiative in collaboration with the University of Guyana. This project, championed by Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha, is set to revolutionize our agricultural sector, focusing on market-driven practices and technological advancements for farmers.
CAPA, a response to CARICOM leaders and part of the 'Improving Economies for Stronger Communities' program, marks a significant step towards enhancing food security and economic resilience in the region.
