🌍 From 24 April to 1 May 2026, the European Youth Week brought together young people from across Europe in Brussels to highlight youth participation, inclusion, active citizenship, and democratic engagement. The initiative once again emphasized the importance of empowering young people through dialogue, mobility, volunteering, and intercultural exchange.

At PAL Network, youth empowerment remains at the core of our mission. Through projects such as Rainbow Bridges, Proud Ambassadors, Resilient Threads, Antigypsyism and P.O.L.A.R, we actively support young people through inclusion, participation, equality, and civic engagement activities.

PAL Network and its members are also actively involved in Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges and ESC volunteering activities, promoting non-formal learning, mobility opportunities, and intercultural dialogue across Europe. Through our Youth Board and Working Groups, young people contribute directly to project co-creation, policy discussions, and EU-funded initiatives.

📢 PAL Network will continue supporting the EU Youth Strategy 2027 and encourages everyone to participate in this process.

Every voice matters — help amplify voices that deserve to be heard.

📅 On March 30, 2026, PAL Network successfully implemented the POLAR project focus group, as part of the Youth Speak Forum at the University of Antwerp in Belgium.

👥 More than 25 participants took part in the activity, including students aged 14–18 and secondary education teachers and trainers. The aim of the focus group was to develop a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the challenges and their impact on the school environment.

🌍 The diversity of participants, coming from different social and educational backgrounds, significantly contributed to the generation of well-grounded findings and valuable insights regarding the real needs of both students and educators.

📊 Based on the outcomes:
• The development of a detailed report summarizing the key findings is already underway
• The results serve as the foundation for the creation of targeted educational material
• The material will include six modules (three for students and three for educators)
• It will be available in all partner languages
• It will be published on open education platforms, ensuring wide accessibility

🎯 The P.O.L.A.R Project focuses on empowering key groups within the educational ecosystem to effectively address polarization:

- Secondary Education Students (14–18 years old)

Young citizens who are particularly vulnerable to exposure to polarizing narratives and misinformation.

- Teachers and Educators

Professionals in secondary education who play a crucial role in integrating innovative materials into their classrooms and guiding meaningful discussions.

- Teenagers (14–16 years old)

A critical age group that can be easily influenced by polarized viewpoints, making early intervention essential.

- Policymakers and Education Authorities

Key stakeholders responsible for shaping educational frameworks and supporting the adoption of inclusive, forward-thinking practices.

💡 By engaging all these groups, P.O.L.A.R creates a comprehensive approach to building resilience, critical thinking, and dialogue across school communities.

🌍 P.O.L.A.R (Polarized No More: Empowering Youth and Educators to Bridge Divides in European Communities) is an Erasmus+ initiative tackling the growing issue of polarization among young people across Europe.

Through innovative and interactive educational tools—including learning modules, a student workbook, and a comprehensive educator guide—the project empowers secondary school students and teachers with essential skills in critical thinking, media literacy, and constructive dialogue.

By promoting awareness, inclusion, and democratic values, P.O.L.A.R aims to build more cohesive, tolerant school communities and provide long-lasting resources to help prevent polarization and radicalization in education.

✨ Together, we can bridge divides and shape a more understanding and inclusive future.
