At the “Adopt a Ship” event, held in collaboration with the Directorate of Education & Lifelong Learning of the Municipality of Piraeus, we were honored to hear from Mr. Nikolas Tsalamanios, our co-CEO and Chairman of Project Connect.
In his speech, he presented the vision and impact of the “Adopt a Ship” program, highlighting how it connects students with real ships and seafarers, bringing maritime education and real-world experience into the classroom.
The event was also honored by the presence of the Mayor of Piraeus Mr. Yiannis Moralis, underlining the importance of this initiative for education, youth engagement, and the maritime identity of the city.

We were honored to have our co-CEO, Mr. Stratos Tsalamanios, address the graduates of the MSc in Shipping Management at the University of Piraeus during their 2024–2025 graduation ceremony.

In his speech, he congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of vision, resilience, and integrity in shaping the future of the maritime industry. He also reaffirmed his long-standing commitment to supporting young professionals as they take their first steps into the world of shipping.

We are proud to announce our participation in the ESG Shipping Awards 2025 – THE CONFERENCE, where our HSSQE Manager, Ms. Liana Papadopoulou, represented our company as a panel speaker in the discussion on “ESG Leadership in Maritime Innovation and Integrity”. A topic that reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible operations, sustainable progress, and ethical excellence within the maritime industry.

Seaven proudly joined forces for the third consecutive year with HELMEPA – Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association, for the World Voluntary Beach Cleanup 2025 at Edem Coast in Palaio Faliro.

The Merchant Marine Academy of Macedonia (Engineering Department) visited our M/V Seaven Spirit at the Port of Thessaloniki, as part of Seaven’s initiative, which launched in 2024 to support maritime education.
This initiative aims to give to first-year cadets the opportunity to visit a vessel before their first training voyage, helping them become familiar with the ship environment, its machinery, and the daily life of engineering officers on board.
During the visit, the cadets were guided by Seaven’s team and had the chance to see the engine room, auxiliary systems, and crew accommodation areas, gaining valuable first-hand insight into their future profession.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Deputy Commander, the Director, and the Professors of the Merchant Marine Academy of Michaniona, as well as to the company’s Chief Engineer Mr. George Vakalis and Mr. Charalampos Kounelis Crew, Training and Development Coordinator, all officers and crew of M/V Seaven Spirit for their warm hospitality, collaboration, and contribution to the success of this visit.
