The feeling of watching people with different mother tongues communicating in Greek, sharing parts of themselves and having a good time, was worth each and every minute I spent organising this, since October

❤️‍🔥Μίλα! GR speaking sessions was created for those who want to learn Greek in a natural way. The idea is to create a community of people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds together, who will form friendships and bonds, as people naturally do, but their interaction will be entirely in Greek language.

✨With the help of an experienced teacher, we will be looking into the why's of grammar whenever necessary, and discovering new vocabulary through raw material (poems, articles, etc).

Will our next meeting be at a cafe? Or in a museum? Or perhaps we'll walk through the historical centre of Athens?
It's up to you to decide!🤗

"what is a teacher?" 🤔

-Certainly, a teacher is someone who has an extensive knowledge on a subject.
-But, that is just a scholar.

-So, a teacher is someone with knowledge plus the ability to transfer the knowledge to someone else.
-Yes, but that is something even a program can do, nowadays.

✨-Well, then, a teacher is someone who touches more aspects of your life than the one you originally intented to polish or advance. Someone who builds up your confidence, who makes you feel good about yourself, who listens to you. ✨

✨Language is an essential part of our everyday life, necessary for every and all activities, from enjoying a nice song, to navigating through a city, to making the smallest purchase, to creating and strengthening the bonds we have with the people around us.

So, especially when it comes to teaching a language, it can't be done without both parties sharing parts of themselves.
I have come to realise that the relationship between student - teacher, is so much richer than just that. As time goes by, we become friends with my students, I get to know about them and their life on a deeper level, and I'm always grateful for the trust they show in me. ✨

That being said, just like any interaction between two people, the outcome is not always favourable. Different personalities might clash with each other. This is the reason why there's always the right teacher for every student, and I always advise all people who are interested in taking lessons, to follow their gut when choosing a teacher.

That is why it is so important that we have an meeting first, before we decide whether we will have lessons together, to get to know each other, to see if I inspire you to learn Greek, if I touch your heart!
