Course Outline
Language awareness and grammar presentation techniques. Vocabulary learning and introduction to phonology. Teaching receptive skills ( listening and reading ). Teaching productive skills ( writing and speaking ). Effective use of coursebook and suppleme
ntary material. Classroom management and using technology. Lesson planning. Course Organisation
Each session will consist of methodology input followed up with practical teaching applications. There will be peer and micro teaching involved in the sessions. A programme of lesson observations and teaching practice will be arranged. Preparation tasks and teaching assignments will be set. Course Features
ELTE is a short and effective initial or refresher training course. It is suitable for:-
-Teachers who are new to the profession
-University students who are planning to become English language teachers.
-Teachers who want a short refresher course. The course provides good preparation for TKT ( Teaching Knowledge Test )
Participants will receive a certificate on successful completion of the course. The course provides a materials pack for classroom use.
