The tired parents solution to getting their kids to sleep. Hi! I’m Rhiannon. I am an American-born, UK-based, mom of two. Parenthood is hard enough as it is!
I have a passion for helping families get their little ones to sleep well so everyone can thrive. When I became a mother, I thought I would have it all figured out. However, I was not prepared for how much figuring out my babies sleep would absolutely rock my world. There’s so much information on everything else baby related, but sleep seemed to be a mystery! When I did a deep dive, I discovered s

Day 2 of daylight savings week and I’m back with method 2! This one is a bit more practical, especially for my Type A parents out there that love to stick to schedule and routine.
This one is called the ‘Split Pushback’, and still requires minimal effort on the parents part.
Now you may read this and think “fat chance my child will sleep in during a clock change”, but I promise they will! If they’re meeting the sleep needs for their age, they will sleep when they’re supposed to. And hey, if it doesn’t go according to plan, by the end of the week the time change will seem like a distant memory. That and coffee will never let you down.

Welcome to Daylight Savings Week! Here in the UK, British Summer Time ends on Sunday ☹️ (Also why do they call it that? Anyone know?) This means officially the days are short and the nights are long, and parents across the British Isles are praying that their kid won’t start getting up at 4am.
If you stick around this week, I’ll be sharing lots of tips and tricks to make the time change less of a challenge, starting with my first method for tackling daylight savings and my personal favorite.
We’re going to do nothing. That’s right. Nothing. We’re going to raw dog this clock change and hope for the best. Now, it’s not a method I would suggest for everyone, but it’s seemed to work for my family so far!
Biologically speaking, it takes us about a week for any changes in our sleep to stick, so fingers crossed within a week after the change, everything will be fine and back to normal. 🤞🏼

Back from a little unintentional social media break! But as you can see we’ve been busy! Stellan say goodbye to nursery and hello to big boy school! We went to Ireland with my mom and grandmother, and saw Stevie Nicks at Hyde park (with surprise guest Harry Styles!!!!!). Nick and I also spent our 8th anniversary seeing Hozier. We even got to visit Number 10, and Stellan for up close and personal with Larry. Sadly, we also had to say goodbye to our girl Eloise. She was mine and my husband’s French bulldog for nearly 9 years and we miss her terribly. In between we’ve had lots of time outdoors, which is the best and easiest way to raise a couple of feral boys. 😅😮💨 Finally, during my hiatus I’ve been trying to figure out what I exactly want The Tired Parents Club to be, and while I’ll still be doing some sleep consulting, there’s going to be new and exciting things coming soon and you’re not going to want to miss out! Finishing touches are being added as we speak! Miss you all and can’t wait to catch up!

There’s a lot more to sleep consultants than sleep training! While some of their crunchier parenting social media accounts will have you thinking that sleep consultants are heartless people who want to separate baby and parents and teach cry it out that couldn’t be farther from the truth. A good sleep consultant is there to educate parents on baby sleep and help each family with their individual sleep goals.
I can help you sleep train your baby in a safe and responsive manner, sure. But did you also know I can educate you on how to:
* Safely co-sleep
* Set up the optimal sleep environment for you baby
* Help your toddler deal with bed time anxieties
* Figure out your baby’s wake windows
* Set up a perfect bedtime routine for your baby
* And so much more!
If you’re not looking to sleep train, but still looking for help, then let’s book a free call! I’ll have a package that can be tailored to you and your family’s needs. DM me and join the club ✨

Hey babes, it’s been a minute! I had a little hiatus but I’m back and thought I would reintroduce myself. My name is Rhiannon and I’m a certified baby and toddler sleep consultant at The Tired Parents Club. We’re no judgement over here, so if you want to co-sleep, that’s fine. You want to feed your 1 year old in the middle of the night still? That’s cool with me. You’re over contact naps? Look no further, I’m here to help. Your goals are my goals!
So if you’re looking for a sleep consultant who has been there, done that, got the t-shirt, will not pass judgement, and talks about memes in between sleep plans, then look no further. I’m your girl. 😊
Want to get started? Look at my profile for the link to book a free 15 minute call. Can’t wait to meet you!

I know first hand how scary night terrors can be. My youngest has had a few, with his most recent one happening the night after a 6.5 hour red eye flight back to the UK from America. Luckily, we know his trigger is being extremely overtired and have experienced a few so we were prepared and knew what to do. With that being said, even though we’ve been through a few, it’s still a scary situation me and my husband as parents, and his first one was downright terrifying.
While night terrors are not common, and reoccurring night terrors are rare, I hope this post is able to help someone identify and manage their child’s night terrors.
And if you’re in the unlucky 2% of people who suffer from reoccurring night terrors, DM me and we can set up a chat to figure out if theirs a solution to identity and reduce.

A lot of parents get really stressed out about how their kids will sleep while traveling. Will the go to sleep as easily? How are naps going to factor into the trip? Will they pick up bad habits? Will they adjust to a new time zone ok?
My biggest piece of advice is to go with the flow, let go of expectations, and remember that traveling with kids is going to be very different from traveling without them.
How can we make things a bit easier though? Number one - try to make the environment as similar to home as you can. Get a travel cot and put on unwashed sheets so it smells like home. Make the room as dark as possible with travel black out blinds or a couple of black garbage bags and painters tape. Put on the white noise machine. And don’t forget their special bedtime cuddle toy if they have one! Then keep bed and nap times as close to what you do at home as possible. The first night may be a little rough but they should settle down by the next night.
If, however, things go awry, don’t panic! A few nights of being rocked or co-sleeping aren’t going to derail all the progress you’ve made. When you get back home, go back to your normal routine and be consistent. It will be business as usual within a few days.
Save this post to have a checklist for your next trip!

You’ve mastered potty training in the daytime with your child, but now wondering how the heck do you potty train them at night?
With night time potty training, it’s all about waiting until they’re developmentally ready which usually happens somewhere between 3-4 years. Then, you’ll just want to offer support - and remember that accidents happen!
