From the lecture hall to ENISA's headquarters in one week. Our Academy of European Public Law students saw Europe's cybersecurity work up close and built real connections along the way. Proud to share how learning at EPLO reaches well beyond the classroom.

Learning doesn't stop in the classroom. It carries on through community 🕺🏼

At the Academy of European Public Law learning is not being limited inside classrooms.
Following their General Course I, "European Defense and Security", we were thrilled to introduce the students of the AEPL to the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) headquarters in Athens! 💻Fresh from the classroom straight into the world of EU cybersecurity, the students of the EPLO European Public Law Organization Academy Study Session dropped by to witness how this year's theme plays out in practice.

Great energy, curious minds and a real appetite for understanding how Europe keeps its digital realm secure 🔒🇪🇺.

And because real understanding comes from experiences, the Welcome Dinner turned classmates into community. The Academy students shared more than meals. They shared ideas, visions and personal stories, building the foundation upon which true connections are made 🎓
That's the way of holistic learning!

Three months, one campus by the sea, and a group of students who dove into everything Greece and the EPLO had to offer — here's what their stay looked like. 🎓

Last Friday, 24 July, we celebrated the closing ceremony of the EPLO Executive Internship Program. We said a warm farewell to our visiting delegation from The Fletcher School at Tufts University 🇺🇸, who joined us at ELGS Headquarters in Legrena–Sounion at the end of May.

Since then, they've completed a short EU affairs training program, interned across EPLO departments and agencies, and taken part in ELGS summer schools and special lectures — 200 working hours in all, including research, assignments, and presentations of their own work.

📍 Beyond the classroom, they explored Greece first-hand, with study visits to the Europa Experience, the Municipality of Lavreotiki, the Hellenic Parliament, the Onassis Foundation, and the "Konstantinos G. Karamanlis" Foundation.

Thank you to the Fletcher delegation for your energy, your curiosity, and everything you brought to our community. It was a joy to host you, good luck in all that lies ahead! 🇬🇷

Looking back on our 2026 Migration Summer School 🌍

Earlier this month, we gathered in Athens and Sounion to explore a vital question: how do race, ethnicity and public health shape the lives of people on the move?

📍 Across the week, our faculty took on everything from access to healthcare for asylum seekers and psychosocial care, to migrant wellbeing in detention, health needs on the move, and the links between racism and health.

🎓 A rich few days of learning, with certificates awarded to close the program.

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers and to everyone who joined us this summer.

That's a wrap on our 2026 Summer Intensive on Global Administrative Law in Practice! ☀️

Five days in Sounion, one big question: how can global administrative law help us re-imagine the Sustainable Development Goals?

📍 From clean energy and climate governance to gender equality and the reform of international institutions, participants took on the SDGs from every angle, including a study visit to the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste and Water (RAAEY) to see how it all works in practice.

🎓 The week wrapped up in Athens with closing remarks and certificates all round.

Huge thanks to our faculty and to everyone who joined us this summer.
