MFI offers advanced training for effective script & project development for Films, TV & Documentaries

MEDITERRANEAN FILM INSTITUTE (MFI) is a specialized training organisation, focusing on the field of script & project development. Established in 1998, it has implemented numerous training activities that address to European film professionals and involve an international group of accomplished teachers of cinema & industry experts. The MFI has developed an educational platform that aims to offer ad

vanced continuous training for European screenwriters, directors and producers. Furthermore, the Institute attempts to create a meeting forum, which would be able to facilitate a creative interchange for addressing aspects of the film development process and international production practices. MFI’s main activity, MFI Script 2 Film Workshops is an advanced script & project development program. Its primary objective is to fully develop the participating screenplays, from first or subsequent draft to final draft, through a process of workshops that emphasize on script analysis, revision and rewriting, and focus on enhancing the projects’ dramatic impact on film audiences. Its 2nd objective is to improve the projects’ production potential, better prepare participants for the project development process and help participating screenplays to reach the realisation stage.

This year’s MFI Script2Film Workshops have brought together 70 participants from 20 countries, including Egypt, Poland, Sweden, Albania, Spain and of course Greece.

Throughout the workshops, 32 projects are being developed: 23 fiction feature films, 6 documentaries, and 3 TV series.

A big thank you to all the participants, trainers and supporters for making this year’s workshops such a creative and inspiring experience.

The first circle of this year's MFI Script2film Workshops has been successfully completed, bringing together 70 participants from 20 countries, including Egypt, Poland, Sweden, Albania, Spain and, of course, Greece!
Over the course of the workshop, 32 projects were developed: 23 fiction feature films, 6 documentaries, and 3 TV series.
