I believe knowledge does not require a license—it requires curiosity!
- And that is exactly why I approach my work, both as a consultant and mentor, and through Polestar, in the same way.
Some of you arrive with a small bag of knowledge, others with a whole dump truck—and both are welcome. What matters is not how much you bring, but your willingness to keep growing. Every time you ask a question, you are showing courage. You’re saying, I want to understand, I want to serve better. That is something to be deeply proud of.
As a consultant and mentor, I’ve seen time and again that growth begins with curiosity, not credentials. That’s why, at Polestar, we are not just a training program—we are a school. What we’ve built into Polestar is a culture where knowledge, learning, and growth are our pride and joy.
You don’t need to master everything in one day, one week, or one month. Each course is the beginning of a deeper dive—a chance to see what sticks, polish what needs refining, and add new books to your library of understanding.
And here’s the beauty: you can know what the PT knows—you can understand the interventions they might use with a client and how that relates to the Pilates environment. You can know some of what the surgeon knows—the types of joint replacements and the recovery journeys. You can learn what the sports psychologist and the social worker know—and all of it can inform the way you work, always within your scope of practice and license, in the amazingly rich environment you create as a Pilates or movement practitioner.
Knowledge is not about perfection, it’s about presence. It’s about noticing where you feel unsure, and letting that uncertainty guide you to the next question, the next study, the next discovery.
That’s the Polestar journey: to stay curious, to stay humble, and to keep growing together. And I am proud to have built this into the very ethos of Polestar—an education company that exists to nurture your curiosity, expand your knowledge, and empower you to serve others with confidence and compassion.
