NEVER become so thirsty that you drink from every cup presented to you. That’s how you get poisoned.

Life will hand you a lot, opportunities, people, chances to be seen, loved, or recognized. It can feel endless, like a parade of open hands and shining promises. But not every cup is meant for you. Some carry lessons you are not ready for, some carry love that will nurture you, and some carry poison disguised as sweetness, tempting, alluring, and deceptively warm.

Rushing to take everything, hoping it will fill the emptiness inside, will only leave you heavier, bitter, or broken. You will realize too late that thirst can be a dangerous companion. Choosing what truly nourishes your soul, not just what quenches your immediate desire, is how you protect yourself from heartbreak, regret, and loss of self.

Learn to sip carefully. Learn to wait for the cups that are meant for you. Some sweetness is worth every moment of waiting, and some lessons are worth avoiding the wrong drink entirely, no matter how enticing it looks from the outside.

Sometimes the weight of the world brings a sense of collective exhaustion where progress feels impossible. But Solnit suggests that the future’s uncertainty is actually its greatest hope; it means we can choose to move through the darkness rather than simply waiting for it to end.

MATH ANG PABORITO KONG TINAPAY ☺️

Mathematics may deal in clear lines and fixed domains, but human values are not bound by such simplicity. The difficulty we face is not that we inhabit irreconcilable worlds—it is that some use the language of logic and intellect to hide the fallacies in their reasoning and the agendas in their positions.

The tragedy of division is not that people disagree, but that they are encouraged to see disagreement as structural rather than strategic. When we accept the myth of separate worlds, we allow those who benefit from division to avoid the hard work of building genuine understanding—and we lose sight of the shared values that could form the basis for meaningful change.

It is time to move beyond the false geometry of irreconcilable worlds and confront the pretense that hides behind it. The question is not whether we speak the same language—it is whether we are willing to recognize when language is being used to build walls, rather than bridges.
