"Stories in The Air" Erasmus+ project has been recently completed, though our memories and experiences from the eight (8) workshops we held from the end of January until the middle of March 2024 in Greece with our local partner Κοινωνικό ΕΚΑΒ continue to travel, like stories do from mouth to mouth and from heart to heart...

The workshops were held on 24/1, 7/2, 9/2, 14/2, 5/3, 6/3, 7/3 and 12/3, including our local partner's educators and its guests, refugees from Asia and Africa living in three of its facilities located in Attica. Storytelling and Puppetry worked as a trigger for imagination, expression and communication!

Looking forward to meeting again with more stories to share!

Four circles of workshops, many circles of tellers and a big circle made of red ribbon, uniting two trees: a tree of stories in France and a speaking tree in Greece. L'Arbre à Histoires and Milia Art Projects are happy to announce the completion of the two-year Erasmus+ project “Stories in the air”.
A project that brought storytelling in the spotlight for persons with disabilities, for refugees and immigrants and for the elderly. The final event for the presentation of the results and the processes of the program took place last week in the @Το Καφενείο στην Ακαδημία Πλάτωνος and we are grateful to those who made it to come - but also to all those that made it possible for the program to happen. Many thanks to ΠΕΚ/ΑμεΑ and Κοινωνικό ΕΚΑΒ and to all the people we collaborated with during those two years.

"Stories in the Air" toolkit for educators and artists is online !
=> How folk tales and songs can be used with disabled, elderly and migrants

"L'Arbre à Histoires" organised on the 22/05/24 an event presenting the results of almost 2 years of "Stories in the Air". We then presented a panel of tools used in storytelling workshops with specific adults : video, telling a tale in 2 languages, with images and a small storytelling show.
We have been very happy to share what we experimented and exchange with people present that day. Other such moment will take place in June or September.
The whole methods will be accessible in english and french soon through a dowloadable toolkit .

Stories in the Air TEAM

With the guidance of the Milia Art Projects group and within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, Stories In The Air, we integrate the art of puppetry, puppet making and folktales into our ptogram.

We are discovering alternative ways of teaching to make the learning process even more accessible and fun for our guests!

On sunday 18/02/24 we had the presentation / show of the Circles of Tellers : about 35 persons followed the presentation of the results of our workshop with french/patchou story of Nasreddin Hodja, "The laugh of the frog" storytelling in french with drawings, a song and one new tale from Emmanuel.
A big thank you to La Loco, Lucas, Jean-Paul, Anne-Lena, Laura, Geneviève and all the participants : Sifatoula, Gullmehmet, Gualajara, Maeva, ...
Next step : sharing to other organisations what L'Arbre à Histoires has learnt : in May 2024.

Yesterday we had our last workshop/rehursle before the "show" !
We worked on "tale mental map" and practised different tale. We finetuned our bilingual storytelling of a story of Nasredin in pachtou (Afganistan) and french.
