The 4th edition of the Athens Workshop on Leadership has come to a close. 🌟
Over two intensive days, ISLE Academy brought together senior executives and two exceptional Harvard Business School professors — Boris Groysberg and Rawi Abdelal — to tackle one of the defining questions of our time: how do you lead when the rules of the global order are no longer fixed?
The world is being rewritten. And those who lead with clarity, courage, and vision will shape what comes next.
Thank you to every participant who brought depth and honesty to the conversation. To Prof. Groysberg and Prof. Abdelal — your insights will stay with us. And to the ISLE Academy team — thank you for making every detail exceptional.
Leadership is not a destination. It is a continuous act of reinvention. 🔁
Until the next edition.

🔬 A new milestone moment for surgical education in Greece.
ISLE Academy was proud to be part of the 𝟯𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗘𝗦𝗙𝗜𝗘) — held in 𝗜𝗼𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟰–𝟮𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — one of the most dynamic medical student conferences in the country, bringing together the next generation of healthcare professionals from across Greece and beyond.
Our contribution this year: the workshop "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀" — an immersive, hands-on session using the 4th generation Da Vinci Xi that gave participants direct access to the 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶 𝗫𝗶 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 and a firsthand look at the transformative potential of robotic surgery.
But we didn't stop there. Attendees also had the exclusive opportunity to experience 𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗦 𝗩𝗥 — our proprietary virtual reality application that offers a cutting-edge digital twin simulation of robotic surgical systems, designed to accelerate learning and reduce the curve to surgical proficiency.
We are grateful to our team, the organizers of the 32nd ESFIE, and to every participant who brought their curiosity, commitment, and energy to this experience. The future of surgery is in capable hands.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
At ISLE Academy, we believe that exceptional surgical education doesn't come from a template — it comes from bringing the right minds together and building something meaningful, side by side.
That is exactly how 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 came to life.
We are honored to have partnered with Dr. Felix Dobritoiu as Scientific Director of this program — a collaboration rooted in a shared conviction: that the next generation of thoracic surgeons deserves a foundation built with the same rigour and intentionality that defines world-class surgical practice.
Head of Thoracic Surgery at Ponderas Academic Hospital, pioneer of robot-assisted thoracic surgery at his institution, and one of the region's foremost proctors and trainers in robotic thoracic techniques EACTS — Dr. Dobrițoiu brought to this collaboration something no curriculum alone can provide: hard-earned expertise, a clear vision for what early robotic training should look like, and a genuine investment in those he teaches.
Together, we designed something we are proud of.
One day. 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗗𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀. 𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗦 𝗩𝗥 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. A structure that moves from theory into hands-on practice, guided by someone who has lived every step of the robotic learning curve.
𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 · 𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 · 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻.
If robotic thoracic surgery is where you are headed, this is where that journey begins — properly.

We are delighted to share that ISLE Academy will participate in the scientific event of the Hellenic Robotic Gynecological Surgery Society (HERGS) where we will also have the chance to showcase ERMIS VR, our proprietary VR training tool for robotic surgery.
In a field where precision, repetition, and confidence matter, training must evolve alongside the technology itself. ERMIS VR reflects ISLE Academy’s commitment to advancing medical education through immersive learning experiences that help support early robotic skills development in a more accessible and engaging way.
We are honored to stand alongside a scientific community shaping the future of robotic gynecological surgery, and we look forward to meaningful exchanges around innovation, education, and the next generation of surgical training.
We look forward to meeting the HERGS community and demonstrating how ERMIS VR is changing the game in surgical education! 💙.

𝐎𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 | 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟗, Prof. Rawi Abdelal joins the 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬. He is 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 at Harvard Business School, and his work on 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 speaks directly to the questions leaders are facing now.
His perspective is especially relevant because this year’s workshop is built around the realities of a more fragmented world: competing power centers, geopolitical risk, supply-chain volatility, and institutional realignment. In that context, his contribution goes beyond commentary on current events. It helps leaders understand the deeper forces shaping the next world economy — and what those forces demand from executive decision-making.
That is why his impact is long-lasting: he gives leaders a sharper framework for reading systemic change. And that is why his insights are immediately applicable: they help translate external uncertainty into better decisions on resilience, growth, cross-border operations, and strategic direction. The workshop itself positions this as a key outcome for participants.
