Last week, one of our students who regularly attends the A1 (beginner) class stayed late to help teach other students the alphabet.

It’s amazing to see people generously giving their time and efforts to support each other in language learning across the community at Sama! 🧑‍🏫🌿

It was great to see the presentation on combatting Gender-Based Violence and participation of former ELNOR students. Congrats to and all those involved in this important project!

We are so proud to announce to our network that we are officially partnered with Sama Community Centre outside of the Malakasa Camps (near Athens). 💙

Alongside Sama and other organizations, we are now providing 6 classes per week at the Pre-A1 and A1 level using ELNOR curriculum. 📝

The classes are always full of students excited to learn, with student attendance ranging from 20-40 each class hour.

With USAID’s collapse and severe cuts across NGOs, humanitarian and education sectors are facing major funding shortages in 2025. 🌍

In the past month alone, four NGOs and grassroots projects, plus our partners at IRC, have turned to ELNOR for English and professional development support for displaced adults.

ELNOR is committed to ensuring learning doesn’t stop when funding fades. This Giving Tuesday, help us sustain and expand our work as we prepare to welcome our largest group of new students yet in 2026.

Today was a special moment for us as we enrolled our 1000th student! We are incredibly grateful to all of our students, tutors, staff, and donors who have supported language education and professional development for people rebuilding their lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 💙

We are also celebrating a college-bound student! 🎓

A high school senior in New York, whose family is seeking refuge in the US, prepared for the TOEFL exam with ELNOR tutors and had the costs of the exam covered. This exam was crucial to her university applications. She was accepted with scholarships to Columbia University, Swarthmore College, Smith College and Williams College. 📚

We are so proud of her and we know she will share her care and enthusiasm on her new college campus! 💙

Today is World Refugee Day and we want to celebrate some of our most recent student accomplishments! 💙

An ELNOR student who joined our program about three years ago completed a masters at the Graduate Business School at the American College of Greece in Athens. In order to receive her diploma, she had to take an IELTS exam. After working one-on-one with ELNOR tutors, ELNOR sponsored the costs of her exam. She passed the exam and received her diploma last month! 👩‍🎓

We are so proud of her and cannot wait to see all that she accomplishes!

The best part of our work is meeting with and helping our students succeed. ELNOR offers classes from the Pre-A1 level up to B1, IELTS study support and exam funding, and professional development support. We have had students stay with us for years, from A1 until they were ready to take the IELTS exam. 📚

We’re excited to share about the partnership between .education and to offer English certification preparation at Gekko education center in Athens! 🌍✏️

This spring, 11 students have been diligently studying for the IELTS exam – an important step that can open doors to higher education and employment opportunities. The first cohort will sit for this exam in June and July. 💪

A huge thank you to our Partnership Coordinator, Dariush who has worked so hard this semester to prepare the students! 💙

By doing M&E reports and student surveys, we are able to keep our work student-centered and continue to better our curriculum, class schedules, and the entire organization. 📚
