Το Κέντρο Επιμόρφωσης και Δια Βίου Μάθησης (Κ.Ε.ΔΙ.ΒΙ.Μ.) του Πανεπιστημίου Δυτικής Αττικής & η Ελληνική Εταιρεία Επιστημόνων και Επαγγελματιών Πληροφορικής και Επικοινωνιών (ΕΠΥ) οργανώνουν μοριοδοτούμενο πρόγραμμα εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης διάρκειας 300 ωρών και επτά μηνών με τίτλο: «Πληροφορική, STEM και Ρομποτική στην πρωτοβάθμια και δευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση».

PCI 2020
The Greek Computer Society (GCS/ΕΠΥ), the Department of Informatics & Computer Engineering of University of West Attica, the Harokopio University and the University of Piraeus organise the 24th Pan-Hellenic Conference on Informatics (PCI 2020) in Athens, Greece, from 20 to 22 November, 2020. This conference (PCI) has a long establishment with international impression and international participation. The PCI 2020 proceedings will be published by ACM in the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS). The ISBN for PCI 2020 is 978-1-4503-8897-9 and the Proceedings will be available through the ACM Digital Library.
Ιn order to limit the spread of COVID-19, the conference is scheduled to be held as a Digital-conference.
The deadline for submitting scientific work is the 28th of September, 2020.

There is also capability for special session organization. The deadline for special session proposals is 11th of September, 2020.

Η Ελληνική εταιρεία επιστημόνων & επαγγελματιών Πληροφορικής & επικοινωνιών (ΕΠΥ) αναλαμβάνει την διεξαγωγή των μαθημάτων προεργασίας για τον 32ο Πανελλήνιο Διαγωνισμό Πληροφορικής.

Introducing the SEnDIng project

Data Science (DS) and Internet of Things (IoT) have been recognized as the technologies among the key drivers of change regarding the skills and competences needed by the IT labor market. The foreseen skills gap together with the rapid and continuous evolution of DS and IoT technologies and their application at many economy’s sectors make the skills required by related occupational profiles increasingly sophisticated, and the need to be constantly updated imperative.

In the aforementioned landscape, the objectives of SEnDIng project are:

- To address the skills gap of DS and IoT professionals by targeting the IT sector and other economy’s sectors (e.g. banking, energy, and logistics) that have demands for high-qualified DS and IoT professionals.
- To provide DS and IoT professionals with skills and competences, that meet the needs of employers, are transferable and recognized among European countries.
- To design a common reference scheme of competences, skills, knowledge and proficiency levels for DS and IoT professionals in accordance with European frameworks (e.g. eCF and ESCO).
- To design and provide two modular learning outcome oriented VET programs, one targeting DS and another IoT.
- To design a mechanism for the certification of skills and competences provided to learners.

SEnDIng is a 3 year project coordinated by University of Patras, Greece and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. It started on 1st December 2017 and will end on 30th November 2020.
