We at Notre Dame are delighted to receive 5 copies of Rohey Fofana's book titled "Finding A Lost Heart".
This gift is immeasurable because it will help the students improve their writing and reading skills and also inspire them to publish their works in the near future. Indeed, we are grateful. Thank you so much Rohey Fofana.

Notre Dame celebrates common wealth day!
The Commonwealth was first officially formed in 1926 when the Balfour Declaration of the Imperial Conference recognised the full sovereignty of dominions. Known as the "British Commonwealth", the original members were the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Irish Free State, and Newfoundland.
Let us join hands together to celebrate our women, especially our mothers. Their contributions are immeasurable.
We at NDS join the rest of the world to celebrate International Women's Day. On this day, we celebrate every woman.
Yesterday, on Soma Community Radio, two of our students represented us at the spelling bee.
Our school was grouped with Medina Sasita LBS and Seno Bajonki LBS, and we came out first (1st) position.
Join us to congratulate Fatou Saidybah and Musa Jarjusey, who represented our school, for their brilliant performance.
Also, we thank Mr. Ismaila Jallow for his efforts before and after the event. This is what we expect from every teacher.

Notre Dame begins its second assessment for second term. We wish all those sitting for the assessment good luck.
We at Notre Dame wish everyone a happy independence day. Today, Gambia is 57 years.
At the end of the session, students were taken to the main road in order to help them understand what they have been taught.
As we all believe that, "Practical Is Better Than Theory".
Therefore, we thank the Gambia Police Force especially those who visited the school in order to help the children on how to cross a road.

We didn't only attend the National Convening but also sentizise the students about the effects, causes and the laws governing , Sexual Violence and Child Marriage.
Today, on the assembly ground, the participants of the National Convening were able to demonstrate what they have learned at the National Convening.
Our conscience will hunt us if we fail to thank Catch Them Young The Gambia, and its Omar Malleh Ceesay for such a wonderful event. We also thank for funding the event.
We are looking forward to a brighter future. Together, we can shape the future of our children.

It was a wonderful session. Government, NGOs and other stakeholders were all present at the National Convening, which was organised by Catch Them Young The Gambia to address issues like , Sexual Violence and Child Marriage.

Three of our students have been invited to attend a National Convening, which is organised by Catch Them Young βThe Gambia.
We are pleased to inform you that Aminata Kijera, Mama Hawli O. Bah and Kebba Jawo are the 3 students that are selected to participate at the National Convening on the theme:
Children Leading the Fight against Female Genital Mutilation, Child Marriage and Sexual Violence scheduled for 14th and 15th January, 2021, at the Baobab Holiday Resort, Bijilo.
The events will start at 9:00am.

Earlier today, two of our students, Pateh Kah and Fatoumatta Ceesay were invited at the Soma Community Radio on the Radio Programme called
The topic of discussion was "The Basic Education In Africa Promotes Remembering Not Thinking".
It is time for the government and other stakeholders to build institutions that promote vocational and technical skills in order to help young people who are academically weak.
Second term, first assessment ends today. Lessons begin on Monday, 10th January.

Yesterday, we had a PTA meeting and also awarded students who did well in the National Assessment Test (NAT) for both grades 5 and 8. Also, awards were given to students who did we in this year's first term.
We thank both teachers, other stakeholders and parents for their tireless efforts in supporting their children in order to get quality education.
Without parents, our works wouldn't have been possible. Cheers to all of them (our parents).

Second term begins on the 3rd January, 2022.
Today is World International Migration Day!!!
Our students had a training on issues of migration. Pertaining issues were discussed like the causes and effects of migration.
First term, 3rd assessment begins on 7th December, on Tuesday.
On the 7th December, on Tuesday, Notre Dame will start its 3rd assessment for this academic year.
Two weeks ago, one of our staff, Mr. Lamin Bajo represented the Gambia at the Global Youth Leadership Summit 2021, which was held in Nepal, Asia.
Today, on the assembly ground, the certificate and medal were presented to the staff and students.

Notre Dame School conducts a workshop.
The purpose of the Workshop is to give a general analysis of this year's National Assessment Test (NAT).
Mr. Mansurr Bah is the presenter, who is our Senior Mathematics teacher.
Immediately, we finished the GABECE, we went to Tendaba for a get together party.
This is our first batch of grade 9. They all made us proud when the grade 9 results were out.
We pray for them to always show the good attitude the school has put into them.

We join the rest of the world to celebrate our teachers as we celebrate world teacher's day.
Our students were engaged on three different issues for the past two days. They are:
1. Female Genital Mutilation
2. Child Marriage
3. Sexual Violence
These three issues were presented to students in order to know the causes, dangers and also the laws attached these acts.
At the end of the programme, three of our students were selected to represent the region (LRR) at the National Convene which will take place in December.
Also, we thank the organizers of the programme Catch Them Young Gambia for organising such an event.
Together, we can end FGM, Child Marriage and Sexual Violence.

Balal Public Library is a community initiative that aims to promote Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Mentor, Career Counseling and STEM among students to help them find solutions for real life issues their community face.
The Young Writers' Club of Notre Dame School is created in order to promote educational and cultural activities through writing.
