DATE: 5th September, 2025.

On behalf of the Remarkable Mentorship Academy (REMA), we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended today’s Certificate Issuance Ceremony. Your presence made this occasion truly memorable and impactful.

It is worthy to note that, since inception we have mentored and trained over 300 high school students across three regions in the Gambia, under the dynamic leadership of Badou ThaRealist Manneh and this Saturday, We have graduated more 30 young people who’d enrolled in our past two cohorts.

A special appreciation goes to the REMA Team of Facilitators for their tireless dedication, the Trainers and to our mentees for their commitment and growth, and to partners like Kotu SSS VOTY Lab for their invaluable support. This milestone would not have been possible without you all.

To our mentees, I strongly encourage you to put into practice everything you have learned during your mentorship journey. Let your knowledge and skills guide your endeavors, and always make the best use of them in every step you take.

Finally, congratulations to all our mentees and to everyone who contributed to making this event a success. We look forward to celebrating many more achievements together in the future.

Regards,
Mariama sabally,

The Rights Education Movement for Advancement, formerly known as The Remarkable Mentorship Academy(REMA), on 12th July 2025 held a successful session with Mr. Saikou T Dibba, an IT Assistant at Kotu SSS, focusing on “DIGITAL LITERACY,” with special emphasis on “Safety and Security in the digital space.”

The aim was to raise awareness among mentees about the importance of responsible and safe internet use, and to highlight common digital threats and how to navigate them.

Some of the key points discussed were; Risks of the internet, effects of negative posts, privacy issues, etc.
During the session, Mr. Alieu Badou ThaRealist Manneh advised the mentees to be careful with how they use social media platforms and communicate online, especially during video calls. He warned them not to be without clothes on camera, even if the other person is. He also stressed that no one should ever share their n**e photos or videos with anyone online.

The session successfully equipped participants with practical knowledge on staying safe online and being secure in the digital space. It emphasized the importance of critical thinking and personal responsibility in order to be safe in today’s tech-driven world.

We then wrapped up with a group photo.

Warmest regards,
Secretary General, REMA.
Mariama Sabally.
