Gambia Home Economics Teachers’ Association (GHETA) features Ms.Haddy Jatta.

Ms. Haddy Jatta teaches at Demba Wandu Basic Cycle, Sandu cluster URR.

Ms. Jatta is a very hard-working and talented young lady whose dedication and love for her job are recognized by all who meet her.

Ms. Jatta is very active and energetic, her quick mind and skills enable her to register a high success rate in the subject during exams.

Despite all the usual challenges faced by most provincial teachers, Ms. Haddy Jatta always executes her duties cheerfully and with dedicated passion.
she is well-loved by her students.

MEET GAMBIA'S HOME ECONOMICS TEACHERS

Gambia Home Economics Teachers’ Association (GHETA) features Ms. Maimuna Jarju.

Ms. Maimuna Jarju teaches Home Economics at Ndikiri K***a Basic Cycle School in Region 5south, CRR.

Ms. Jarju is a very polite and respectful hardworking young lady. She is a friend of many teachers, students, and their families. Her caring personality and calm demeanor earned her respect and love from colleagues, students, and parents.

Ms. Jarju is known for being very resourceful and inspirational. She is level-headed, intelligent, calm, and collected.

Ms. Jarju's resourcefulness is evident in her work with her students because despite being posted in a hardship area with few amenities, she can always innovate on the spot.

She works under tough conditions with no Home Economics class, and almost no equipment yet she forges on and ensures that her students perform to the best of their ability.

Her toughest challenge is always when the GABECE food and Nutrition examinations are out and the questions are not favorable for her students and their environment as it is a hardship zone. Amazingly, this young lady always manages to innovate dishes that answer the questions.

We are proud of Maimuna's resilience and hard work.

It is not easy teaching Home Economics with the bare minimum but your intelligence and passion for the subject have ensured you conquered those challenges.

MEET GAMBIA'S HOME ECONOMICS TEACHERS

Gambia Home Economics Teachers’ Association (GHETA) features Mr. Sainey Ceesay.
Mr. Ceesay teaches Home Economics at Sinchu Baliya Upper Basic School.
He is dedicated and committed to his job. He executes his duties with professionalism, maturity, ethics, and respect.

Mr. Ceesay is very talented and innovative. His creativity and innovations are shown in the 'Renovated articles' practical works of his students.

Sinchu Baliya Ex and current students confirmed that Mr. Sainey Ceesay's relentless efforts have enabled them to get very high grades in Home Economics in their GABECE examinations. His students value his advice and always seek guidance and counseling from him. His time and resources is dedicated to his students, their education, and welfare.

Mr Ceesay is very proactive and always finds new ways of encouraging and motivating his students to display their skills and study harder. His goal is to ensure that his students become self-reliant and financially independent through skills combined with formal education.

Mr. Ceesay is the current Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Gambia Home Economics Teachers' Association (GHETA).

MEET GAMBIA'S HOME ECONOMICS TEACHERS

Gambia Home Economics Teachers’ Association (GHETA) features Ms. Mam Yassin Sarjo, a formidable lady who teaches Home Economics at St John the Baptist Basic Cycle School, Farafenni Town North Bank Region.

Ms. Sarjo is good-natured, kind, and attentive. She has a great personality and never hesitates to help her students with their schoolwork.

Her students speak highly of her and remember her fondly and lovingly. Her ability to interact with them, listen, and aid them has shaped them into being better students.

Both her Ex-students and current students remember her fondly and expressed how she motivates and pushes them to be the best version of themselves.

Mam Yassin is renowned for sacrificing her time, energy, and resources just for her students. Her passion for Home Economics is so infectious that her students developed a love for the subject.

She is talented, creative, and very skillful.
She bonds well with her students and they become her friends and family. Her farewells with them are always heartbreaking to watch as both parties cry ceaselessly when parting.

Ms. Sarjo is very hardworking, respectful, and loves what she does.
