The 2nd Edition of the Annual School of Business and Public Administration Conference was successfully held on the 10th and 11th October 2019 at the University of The Gambia.
The conference on the theme "Social Protection and Economic Development" brought together over 250 participants ranging from academics, students, NGOs, government and international organisations' representatives.
Keynote lecture on the theme was delivered by Penny Williams, Senior Social Protection Specialist from the World Bank which was followed by a very interactive question and answer session with the audience.
There was a very interesting panel discussion on "The Gambia Economy" with panelists from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs (MoFEA), Central Bank of The Gambia (CBG), The World Bank (WB), The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), and the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
More presentations on diverse topics in Economics, Finance, and Marketing were made by faculty members from the University of The Gambia, representatives from government and the private sector. Relevant issues pertinent to the economic development of the country were discussed.
