ATTENTION ALL CATERING SERVICE PROVIDERS!

Invitation to Bid for the Provision of Canteen Services.

The Civil Service University (CSU), formerly Management Development Institute (MDI) invites Canteen Service Providers to bid for the running and managing of its canteen on a contractual basis.

The Terms of the contract is as follows:

• Provision of high-quality food, snacks and drinks, at affordable and reasonable prices.
• Capacity to meet the daily demands of customers.
• Ability to provide catering services for the University’s activities (trainings, meetings, etc) when required and in some cases, at short notices.
• Business hours are:
- Mondays to Fridays: 07:30a.m. to 18:00ap.m.
- Saturdays: 07:30a.m. to 17:00p.m.
• Ensure Canteen staff are:
- Adequate in number
- Friendly and Professional - well trained; well mannered; cleaned and appropriately dressed
- Medically certified for the job; at least twice a year.
• The Canteen must be certified in compliance with Food Safety, GPPA and any other regulation as may be required.
• Maintenance of a clean, healthy and safe environment at all times.

Each applicant is required to submit the following:
- Business Proposal,
- Copies of Certificates of Business Registration, Health Clearance, GPPA Registration and any other supporting document,
- Three referees.

Civil Service University Hosts Courtesy Visit from Chinese Ambassador 🇨🇳

The Civil Service University had the distinct honour of receiving His Excellency Lin Jin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to The Gambia, on 7th April 2026.

The visit followed the University’s recent transformation and provided an opportunity for His Excellency to gain firsthand insight into the campus, while engaging in discussions aimed at fostering potential collaboration between both institutions.

The Department of Diplomacy and International Relations of the Management Development Institute, now Civil Service University, on May 14, 2025, celebrated Cultural Diversity with the theme: Unity in Diversity.

The event, the second edition of its kind, brought together so many very important personalities in the the diplomatic arena, staff of the Institute, as well as students. The event was indeed colourful.

The Head of the Department, Mrs. Pullo Ndow, her team as well as staff and Management of the Institute expressed profound gratitude to the sponsors and well-wishers.

About sixty (60) students and four (4) teachers from Kwinella Upper and Senior Secondary School were guests of the Management Development Institute (MDI), today, Thursday, May 8, 2025. They were here to familiarize themselves with our course offerings as well as our facilities.

On the whole, the visitors really enjoyed themselves.
