UTG_ITCA: SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

The Software Development Seminar was successfully concluded, bringing together students and tech enthusiasts for an insightful session with Mr. Sheriff Gaye. Participants explored current software development trends, industry expectations, and practical strategies for building successful careers in technology.

_Great ideas were shared. New perspectives were gained. Future developers were inspired._

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Sheriff Gaye for delivering an enriching session and to everyone who participated and contributed to its success.

The 12th Executive Council of the University of The Gambia Information Technology & Communication Association (UTG_ITCA) is pleased to unveil the ITCA Gateway Mentorship Program; a flagship initiative aimed at fostering academic excellence, professional growth, and personal development among ITCA students. The program seeks to create meaningful connections between students, experienced professionals, and alumni, providing guidance that extends beyond the classroom.

The ITCA Gateway Mentorship Program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in both their academic journey and future careers.* Through structured mentorship, career guidance, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing sessions, participants will gain valuable insights that prepare them to make meaningful contributions to the technology industry and society at large.

Guided by the motto, "Learn, Connect, and Find Your Path," this initiative reflects the Executive Council's commitment to empowering students and building a strong, supportive community of future innovators and leaders. VISIT TO SUPDECO STUDENTS' UNION

The University of The Gambia Information Technology & Communication Association (UTG_ITCA) paid a courtesy visit to the SUPDECO Students' Union as part of its commitment to strengthening inter-university relations and fostering meaningful collaboration among student-led institutions. The visit provided an opportunity for both leaderships to exchange ideas, share experiences, and discuss their respective visions for student development.

The engagement focused on exploring avenues for partnership in areas such as technology, innovation, leadership, capacity building, academic development, and student empowerment. Both delegations reaffirmed the importance of collaboration in creating opportunities that inspire growth, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote excellence beyond the boundaries of their respective institutions.

COURTESY MEETING WITH UTG RED CROSS LINK

We held a successful courtesy meeting with the UTG Red Cross Link earlier on today, where both organizations shared insights into their respective mandates and reaffirmed their commitment to student leadership, service, and collaboration.

The meeting focused on exploring strategic partnerships in key areas, including digital awareness and literacy campaigns, technology-driven health education, community outreach and volunteerism, as well as blood donation initiatives.

Both executives emphasized the importance of empowering students to become leaders, innovators, and agents of positive change. The discussions reflected a shared vision of using technology and humanitarian service to create meaningful impact within the university community and beyond.

This engagement marks the beginning of a promising partnership, reinforcing the values of volunteerism, innovation, responsibility, and service while strengthening collaboration between the two student-led organizations for the benefit of the entire UTG community.
