Successful Completion of First Aid Training with EDUSA
The University of The Gambia Red Cross Link, in collaboration with EDUSA, has successfully completed a First Aid Training session from February 28th to March 2nd, aimed at equipping 30 participants with essential emergency response skills.
The training provided participants with fundamental knowledge on how to handle medical emergencies, including wound care, CPR, and other lifesaving techniques. Through practical demonstrations and interactive sessions, attendees gained hands-on experience in administering first aid, reinforcing the importance of immediate response in critical situations.
This initiative reflects the shared commitment of UTG Red Cross Link and EDUSA to fostering a culture of safety and preparedness within the university community. By equipping students with these vital skills, we empower them to act confidently and effectively in emergencies, both on and off campus.

UTG Red Cross Link Provides First Aid Support at UTG Sports Day
As students engaged in intense competition and physical activity at the UTG Sports Day 2025, the University of The Gambia Red Cross Link stood ready to provide essential first aid support, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants.
With a dedicated team of volunteers stationed throughout the event, the Red Cross Link promptly attended to minor injuries and provided medical assistance where needed. Their presence reassured athletes and spectators alike, reinforcing the importance of health and safety in sports activities.

*BASIC FIRST AID TRAINING*

As we reflect on the success of the First Aid Training sessions held on October 12-13 and October 25-26, for SOSHSA and LSA, respectively, the university of The Gambia Red Cross Link congratulates the participants for their commitment and willingness to serve humanity. It is demanding to attend a 15 hours long training within two days.
We extend appreciation to KM Red Cross Branch for the support rendered.The hands-on approach and real-world scenarios provided by the experienced trainers have equipped our participants with the confidence and skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies.

*UTG RED CROSS LINK: A SUCCESSFUL PAD DRIVE 🩸🩸🩸🩸*
The University of The Gambia Red Cross Link organized a pad drive at Brikama Senior Secondary School, focusing on menstrual hygiene and practical skills training on making reusable sanitary pads. Volunteers donated pads and taught students how to sew reusable pads, promoting self-sufficiency and environmental responsibility. The training provided students with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to safeguard their menstrual health.
This initiative reflects the Link's commitment to community service and holistic education, empowering youth and fostering sustainable practices.
