However, it has being brought to the attention of the ministry that there are graduates that remained unregularised.
Accordingly, all affected in-service graduates are hereby requested to report to the Ministry for immediate regularisation.

Both exercises are aimed at ensuring that all in-service students who have successfully completed their programmes, as well as staff who remain unverified, have their records appropriately regularised and verified within the Ministryโs personnel and records management system.

The Vice Presidency at State House this morning hosted a historic signing ceremony, officiated by His Excellency Muhammed B.S. Jallow, Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia.
The event marked the formalization of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding framework (MoU) between Tibu Africa and three state Ministries: Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE), Youths and Sports (MoYS), and Interior.
The agreement establishes a framework for the adaptation and rollout of the Generation Sportive programme in public primary schools across the country. The initiative will introduce structured, ageโappropriate school-based sport, health, and life skills activities aligned with national priorities on quality education, learner well-being, inclusive participation, and human capital development.
The MoBSE- TBU Generation Sportive agreement framework is designed to:
- Promote regular physical activity and sport-health facilitation in schools.
- Support learnersโ physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Encourage healthy lifestyle habits including hygiene, nutrition awareness, cooperation, and respect for rules.
- Strengthen school climate, gender equality, and learner inclusion.
- Build life skills such as self-confidence, communication, emotional regulation, and problem-solving.
- Provide monitoring tools to track implementation and measure impact on learners and school environments.
Following the signing, the Hon. Ministers of MoBSE and MoYS led the Tibu Africa delegation, accompanied by officials from MoBSE, MoYS and Interior, on a courtesy visit to His Excellency President Adama Barrow.
During the engagement, HE Mohamed Amine Zariat, President of Tibu Africa, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and commended President Barrowโs leadership in youth and women empowerment.
President Barrow, in turn, praised Tibu Africa for choosing The Gambia as a partner, reaffirmed the strong bilateral ties with the Kingdom of Morocco, and assured the delegation of the governmentโs continued collaboration.
Under the MoU framework, Tibu Africa pledges to train and remunerate local coaches to be deployed across more than 600 public primary schools nationwide by 2030, integrating sport-health facilitation into the school curricula activities for holistic child development and inclusive learning.

The Gambia has officially become the first Anglophone nation to benefit from Tibu Africaโs flagship Generation Sportive initiative, launched today at Latrikunda Sabiji Lower Basic School.
The ceremony was presided over by the Hon. Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Habibatou Drammeh, and the Hon. Minister of Youths and Sports, Mr. Bakary Y. Badjie.
The programme, rolled out in partnership with Tibu Africaโa leading nonโgovernmental organization based in the Kingdom of Moroccoโaims to promote sports, health, and lifeโskills development among young people through structured schoolโbased activities and strengthened international cooperation.
In his remarks, the Founder and President of Tibu Africa, His Excellency Mohamed Amine Zariat, highlighted the organizationโs mission to harness the power of sport for education, empowerment, and inclusion. He noted that while Tibu Africa operates in several African countries, The Gambia is the first Englishโspeaking nation to benefit from its support.
Founded in 2011, Tibu Africa has grown into Moroccoโs foremost institution for youth education and socioโeconomic inclusion through sport. With a presence in more than 40 cities across Moroccoโs 12 regions and operations in five African capitals, the organization delivers innovative and sustainable solutionsโparticularly for young people and women.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Drammeh conveyed gratitude on behalf of His Excellency President Adama Barrow, thanking Tibu Africa for choosing The Gambia as a partner in advancing education through sport. She reaffirmed governmentโs commitment to initiatives that place learner wellโbeing, inclusion, and foundational skills at the heart of schooling.
Hon. Bakary Y. Badjie described the collaboration as a milestone in youth empowerment, stressing that the programme will not only strengthen schoolโbased sports but also nurture discipline, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among Gambian children and youth.
As part of the official engagement, the Government of The Gambiaโthrough the Ministries of Interior, Youths and Sports, and Basic and Secondary Educationโwill sign a cooperation agreement with Tibu Africa to consolidate this strategic partnership.
