Mr. Bakary Mbye, a third-year Accountancy student, brings both academic grounding and practical experience to the Office of the Auditor General in UTGSU. His service as the current Auditor General of the UTG Debate Association has equipped him with hands-on expertise in financial and performance review, record verification, and structured reporting.
Mr. Mbye is committed to strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems, improving the quality and consistency of audit reporting, and promoting a culture of transparency across all levels of UTGSU. He sets out to ensure that auditing structures within our Union are not only functional but effective, while also reinforcing financial discipline and responsible performance.

I, Ousman A. Baldeh, hereby formally declare my intention to contest for the position of President in the forthcoming University of The Gambia Students’ Union (UTGSU) elections, under the banner of The Solutionists–Salvation Coalition. I am a third-year Public Administration student in the School of Business and Public Administration and a qualified professional teacher with years of experience.
My candidature is grounded in proven leadership and governance experience. I currently serve as Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the Economics and Management Students Association (ECOMANSA), a role that has strengthened my leadership, coordination, accountability, and representation skills.
Students are the primary stakeholders of the University of The Gambia, and their voices must shape the direction of the Students’ Union. I am Seray Sidibeh, third year computer science student and I am pleased to formally inform you of my intention to contest for the position of Vice President in the 2026 UTG Students’ Union Elections, under the banner of The Solutionists–Salvation Coalition.
My leadership journey spans several years of dedicated service and active representation across student platforms. I served as the first-ever female President of the Gambia College Students’ Union, a role that strengthened my leadership capacity, sharpened my sense of responsibility, and deepened my commitment to student administration.

Currently, I serve as Secretary General of ECOMANSA, a role that has deepened both my understanding of students administration, documentation and institutional understanding of how our union operates. This experience has strengthened my appreciation of the responsibilities attached to the Secretary General’s office in advancing and safeguarding our unions integrity.
The effectiveness of our Students’ Union is contingent on strong administration and clear coordination. Guided by this understanding, I am motivated to serve with discipline and consistency.

I am Musa Badjie, a third year Accountancy major, from the School of Business and Public Administration. I hereby declare my intention to contest for the position of Finance Minister in the 2026 UTGSU Elections under the placard of the the Solutionists-Salvation Coalition. My commitment is to provide prudent financial management, accountability, and responsible budgeting in the interest of students.
Over the past ten months, I have served as a Committee Member of the Finance Ministry of the UTGSU, specifically under the Financial Statement Preparation Unit. This role has deepened my understanding of the ministry’s operations and financial processes. My active involvement in financial matters, both within and beyond the ministry, has strengthened my commitment to serve the general student body and enhance the ministry’s overall performance.
The Students’ Union and its ministries are redundant without the students; they remain the core of my motivation to serve. When elected, I am committed to introducing policies that prioritize student satisfaction, strengthen ministerial performance, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Union.
