Norovirus is circulating in Gibraltar right now. Public Health has confirmed an increase in people experiencing sudden diarrhoea and vomiting in the community.

The illness is usually short-lived and most people recover without needing medical treatment. But norovirus spreads easily, so please follow this advice:

Do not visit patients in hospital or ERS until 48 hours after your symptoms have completely stopped.

If you have a scheduled outpatient or radiology appointment (including breast screening) and have had symptoms in the last 48 hours, call the department to rearrange. Do not attend while unwell.

Children should stay home from school until 48 hours after their symptoms have stopped.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Alcohol hand gels do not work against norovirus.

Call 111 if you are concerned about your symptoms.

Nestlé has recalled these products. Point-of-sale notices are displayed in Morrisons explaining what to do if you purchased them. The Food Co has taken precautionary action by removing stock from sale until batch numbers are confirmed.

Do not feed these products to babies.

If you have bought this product return it to your nearest store for a full refund.

If you have fed this product to a baby and have concerns, seek advice from healthcare professionals.
