Earlier this morning, we had the privilege of welcoming a team from the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Agotime-Ziope District, for an insightful educational session on cyber security, responsible internet use, and the importance of understanding one's digital footprint.

The interactive session enlightened our learners on the opportunities and risks associated with the internet and social media, emphasizing that every click, comment, post, and share leaves a lasting digital footprint that can positively or negatively shape their future.

The facilitators encouraged learners to become responsible digital citizens by using social media wisely, protecting their personal information, and showing respect for others in the online space.

To reinforce these lessons, learners were introduced to the ๐“๐‘๐€๐…๐…๐ˆ๐‚ principles for staying safe online:

Ziope D/A JHS successfully held a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration between the school and parents to enhance teaching, learning, and the overall development of learners.

The meeting brought together parents, staff, members of the School Management Committee (SMC), and PTA executives.

In attendance were the PTA Chairman and his executives, Mr. Edward Amadah, the SMC Chairman, Mr. John Otis Semabiah and his executive members, the Headmaster, Mr. Mashood Wood Issah, teachers, and parents.

Key issues discussed included the presentation of financial and activity reports, updates on ongoing school projects, payment of PTA dues, learners' academic performance, and disciplinary matters affecting the school.

A major concern raised during the meeting was the inadequate number of teaching staff, particularly the absence of a French teacher. Participants discussed possible ways of addressing the challenge while efforts continue to secure the needed personnel.

The meeting also examined strategies for improving academic performance and emphasized the importance of regular parental support, supervision, and effective collaboration between home and school.

The Headmaster expressed appreciation to all parents and stakeholders for their continuous support and commitment to the progress of the school. He encouraged everyone to remain united in the collective effort to provide quality education and create a conducive learning environment for all learners.

The PTA and SMC Chairpersons of Ziope D/A JHS paid a crucial and timely visit to our BECE candidates this morning ahead of their Integrated Science paper โ€” a very critical core subject in the examination.

They encouraged the learners to give off their very best and strive for success. They also advised them to remain focused and stay away from any form of examination malpractice.

The Chairpersons further pledged their continuous support to the learners and the school as a whole.
