On this Constitution Day, we reflect on the enduring values of justice, equity, and the rule of law that form the bedrock of our democracy. It is a moment to reaffirm our collective commitment to fairness in justice delivery and to the constitutional principles that safeguard the rights and dignity of every Ghanaian.

As we celebrate this important national milestone, may we continue to strengthen our institutions, uphold accountability, and work together to build a more just and equitable Ghana for present and future generations.

The year that just ended may have come with silent battles, quiet tears, and even missed opportunities. Yet, through it all, you survived. You lived, you learned, and you gathered the strength and wisdom needed to grow stronger in the years ahead.

As we step into 2026, I encourage you to remain firm, apply the lessons learned, and channel them into self-improvement, career growth, and meaningful impact in society.

Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year.
May we all do well, and may we all find favour.

As we mark the Christmas season, I extend warm greetings to all.
Christmas is a time that calls us to reflect deeply on its true essence: ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž, ๐ฉ๐ž๐š๐œ๐ž, ๐ฌ๐š๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž, ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ. It reminds us of our shared responsibility to care for one another and to strengthen the bonds that hold us together.

I urge everyone to celebrate responsibly and safely, showing consideration for life and the well-being of others as we share in the joy of the season. Let our celebrations be guided not only by festivity, but by gratitude, moderation, and respect for one another.

May this Christmas renew our hope, inspire goodwill, and encourage us to work collectively toward a more peaceful and prosperous society.

The event, which was attended by high-profile dignitaries including the Country Director of the World Health Organisation, the Deputy Country Director of the United Nations Development Programme, and more than 15 diplomats, comprising ambassadors and high commissioners, celebrated outstanding leaders across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, retail, civil society, and state institutions.

Prof. Damasus received the award in the category of ๐„๐๐ฎ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐๐ฏ๐จ๐œ๐š๐œ๐ฒ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐’๐œ๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ, in recognition of his exemplary leadership of the non-state education sector and his role in positioning GNAPS as a thought leader promoting educational quality, expanding access, and influencing favourable policies for private schools in Ghana.

While I was away for an equally important engagement out of Ghana, an award was taken on my behalf by Mr. Joseph Winston, the Financial Secretary and Mr. Eredon Gien Joseph, the Media Relations Officer of the Ghana National Association Of Private Schools - GNAPS

The award which was received at the 8th Ghana Industry CEOs Award ceremony hosted by the Business Executive Group, honored my dedication as the Most Respected CEO in Educational Advocacy and Private Schools Development as the President of GNAPS.

While it comes as a recognition for my leadership in spearheading educational initiatives and favorable policy environment on the non state sector (Private Schools), I am grateful for the Private schools community across Ghana and our stakeholders abroad.

This is a more daunting challenge for me to be deliberate and diligent in leading the sector that contributes about 39% in education establishment, 43% in basic education enrollment and a staggering 98% in early childhood education in Ghana.

The private schools community remains a strong force that is partnering the state in increasing enrollment, eliminating chances for any child to be left behind in school and equally leading the way for innovative and affordable quality education in Ghana.

Thank you to the very anonymous person who nominated me for this award, the team who coordinated the voting process and my very own GNAPS community that went all out in endorsing my nomination for this much respected award.

Once again, thank you to everyone who play a part in my role as GNAPS president and everyone who stands to get me recognized for my contributions to the education space in Ghana

You sit under your umbrella tree wondering when your next John will return to drive Ghana back on track. Then comes this sharp, eerie siren that jangles your mind from its sojourn of hope and back to the bitter reality: this is no longer the Nkrumahโ€™s and Johnsโ€™ Ghana of yore. This is Alhaji Dr. Driverโ€™s Mate and his bossโ€™ Ghana where hardship reigns over all except their family, friends and party members.

Perhaps, the siren announces the passage into glory of another innocent casualty of a Driverโ€™s Mateโ€™s misadventure on the steering wheel. Perhaps, another innocent son of the soil, who can no longer bear the hiking living costs and sinking living standards, is giving up his spirit. Having pushed many to the fringes of life, the Mate and his boss procured many ambulances to transport the starving Ghanaian to hospitals of doom.

But this siren wasnโ€™t an ambulance of peril. It announced the passage of a long convoy of the most luxurious vehicles in full flight. A fleet of expensive cars traversing our emaciated streets with lightning speed. A motorcade of ill-bred, fluffy, overfed blokes who care little about the taxpayer whose monies pay for their luxurious lifestyles. Here his Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Mate comes. Make way for his easy passage. Get off quickly less the Elephant squashes you into shreds, leaving no morsel for the undertakers to bury, or for vultures to feast on.

Oh, the siren announces the approach of His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Driverโ€™s Mate on the campaign trail! Campaigning again? And with a thousand and one more sugar-laced baits to catch the unsuspecting voter? Promises galore! Promises that he least intends to keep. This time what will the baits be? Freebies; Free food for all and sundry; free fuel; free wives and husbands for all bachelors and spinsters, free this, free that โ€ฆ One village, one heaven. Hurray, these are bold solutions to Ghanaโ€™s woes which were inflicted on us by the Mate and his boss.

If you have the ear of Alhaji Dr. Mate, please tell him: that promises wonโ€™t take away the pangs of pain we feel; that itโ€™s all so annoying for the impoverished man on an empty stomach to be disturbed by noisy sirens of overfed politicians. If you have the Mateโ€™s ear, find out from him where the heavens promised us in the 2016 and 2020 elections is? Ask his Excellency the Mate how come we canโ€™t get even a small cup of the milk and honey that is supposed to be flowing on the streets of Ghana? How come in the regime of the self-professed economic messiah the little milk and honey that was bequeathed the country by the Johns have been scooped away leaving Ghana drier, dirtier, dustier?

These noisy sirens tell of crass insensitivity to the plight of a people whom a driver and his mate have grossly abused and pushed down the abyss of poverty. The flamboyance of the campaign tells tales of thievery, tales of monies looted in the millions of dollars and stashed under beds of gold and ivory. It tells of monies bungled from the public treasury and stashed away for buying the gullible voterโ€™s verdict. The expensive outings on the campaign trail are ample testimony that vampires are here, gleefully sucking the blood of our economy leaving it emaciated, anaemic and hanging on live support. If anyone has the ear of our dear Mate, kindly advise him to reduce the size of his campaign convoys and tune down the eerie sirens, less the few dollars we have in the
country take flight. Money, his boss says, dislikes noise.

I am only, but a ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ณ๐ž๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐š ๐’๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ซ
