ARMED FORCES CATERING TRAINING SCHOOL ORGANISES CULINARY COURSE FOR STAFF OF MOFARI

The Ghana Armed Forces Catering Training School (CATS) under the command of the Ghana Armed Forces Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration (MOFARI) has successfully held a culinary course for 12 staff members of MOFARI.

The course was part of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between TRADOC and MOFARI to build capacity of its staff and also enable personnel of TRADOC to benefit from scholarship packages sponsored by MOFARI.

The two-week course ended with a closing ceremony at Whistler Barracks at Teshie on Monday 23 January 2023.

The Officer Commanding (OC) the Catering Training School, Maj Michael Oppong-Kumesi said the aim of the course was to sharpen and refresh the culinary skills of participants in all aspects of the catering profession.

He said the course was also aimed at improving participants’ skills in hygiene and kitchen sanitation to enhance their capacity to effectively manage the cafeteria department at MOFARI.

Present at the ceremony were senior officers from TRADOC, Deputy Commandant, Brig Gen Lawrence Gbetanu, the General Coordinator for Training and Gender Affairs, Col Osman Zuneidu, the Director for Land Doctrine, Col Ernest Nyuur and representatives from MOFARI.
